Great video. I use a P790 and love it. Has to be my favourite club so far. I was wondering how the GAPR low compares and now I know. Thanks Michael. Hope your neck is feeling better.

Just purchased a used GAPR low 3 with a stiff shaft and set it to the lowest loft; I love this thing. It's funny, you can get over 100 off in exchange for a couple of scratches on the sole of the club and they gave me a new head cover and adjustment tool to go with it.

The Gapr lo and mid 3 irons are great all rounders. They're long enough to be a driving iron but usable from the fairway. The GAPR LO 3 iron has replaced my trusty titlest hybrid at the top of my bag. love it.

If you get time, would you be so kind to give the GAPR Med a try against the UDI as that one looked to offer better numbers as well as forgiveness

Mike, I doubt you'll see this, and I know it's irrelevant as of today but if you ever have the chance, can you compare the old Adams DHY to the GAPR Mid? If you have the old Adams DHY anyway. It would be much appreciated. Love the content as always.

nice video Michael hipe you neck gets better soon would love a udi but hard to get hold of gapr way to expensive. club manufacturers are pushing the price point bit at the mo!!

Great video again Michael, but as TM appear to have given up on future sales of UDI 2 iron to general public, it would be good to see how Gapr Lo compares to TM P970 3 iron ?

Like all TaylorMade Adjustable Sleeves, you could have rotated the shaft 180 Degrees and given yourself the equivalent Upright settings

GAPR is way too expensive for what it is and how it looks. 229 pound people! Would rather buy a second hand p790 for 120, or a 2nd hand Cobra Utility for under a 100 and keep the extra cash. I think the golf industry is losing the plot and I'm not sure people are falling for it. I paid £40 for a brand new 12 degree driving iron on ebay a few weeks ago (its called tiger driving iron) have a look, yesterday, I got it 250 yards off tee on GC2, and on the course yesterday I scuffed my drive, had a nice lie and belted it 230 yards onto the green in 2 with that iron from ebay, nobody could believe I did it. Starting to fall in love with it, for the price, the fact that someone on ebay makes them himself (not a plug) and due to it being 12 degrees it gets me good distance and finds fairway because its an iron. My driver has regressed to garbage lately and I'm doing heavy analysis on my swing to try and find out why, so that is why I am interested in long range irons, but it wont be gapr due to costs and if I'm honest, looks, turquoise is going NOWHERE NEAR my golf bag.

Still tempted by the Srixon u85...but I can get a u65 for £90...decisions decisions, waiting for a few reviews on the U85 before I decide.

JAG sixtyfive I hit the U85 the other day, absolutely lovely club and would have gone great with my 785 585 combo but after hitting the P790 UDI I absolutely fell in love with it and had to order one. The Srixon felt great too though.

I've just got the P790 UDi 2 iron (project x hzrdus 6.5) brand new for £120. i really wanted a Gapr lo 2 iron but for the price difference of nearly £100 i couldn't justify it, especially having hit them both. I prefer the looks of the Gapr (think I'm in the minority there!) but performance were pretty much exactly the same. I also wonder how the finish on the Gap range will hold up

Simon Hobden don’t worry I like the look of the gapr better too!

how do they compare to Ping Crossovers ?

Interesting H2H Mike. For Golfers who play on windy Links and with the necessary skill set both clubs look amazing with little to chose between them. But playing most of my golf on Manchester Parkland courses either club would be rarely used. Which is a stroke of luck, because I would never have enough club head speed to get the Ball airborne. PS I still think the name GAPR sounds stupid and Low Premium!
@MichaelNewtonGolf6 жыл бұрын
Yes more suited to the lower flight and your right, for the slow swing spped sometimes more difficult to flight the ball. Thats where the hybrid styles come in or in the GAPR range maybe the Mid or the Hi will suit better. Thanks for watching and commenting!
