What a gorgeous table! I love Shanty to Chic and I’m a rookie builder and I plan to build a farmhouse table someday. I liked all your extra tips like brackets in the corner and the brace bar underneath. You do quality work.

Thank you for the Ace Ventura reference. Your work is incredible, but that literally made it over the top. Earned my sub, love the personality

Ok buddy, I've got to know where you got those dining room chairs, they are killer and would be perfect for my home. Please, please, please share the info, lol I'm also in love with the router table. I've had that exact design in my head for months now but can you please share details about the router, the base you used, etc. Do you have a build video on that by chance, I will look. I also want to build a table saw sled like yours, cant remember if it was in the description or not but will check again. Your doing absolutely amazing stuff brother and produce some of the best videos out there, please keep it up!!!! Take care and thank you very much for everything!!!

In the process of building this table now. I like the changes you made and I have a few questions. 1. How did you make the pocket holes on the brace for the top? I can’t seem to find a setting on my jog to get them right. 2. What did you use to attach the top to the base? Thanks! Great videos you do great work.

Shanty says they used Kreg HD pocket holes to attach the top to the legs. Did you do this or use another method? Was thinking you could just use several corner braces like you did on the under side of the mitered corners?? Suggestions? Awesome job!!

I know this is an old video but did you use a joiner or planer to flatten the boards for the top? If not, how has it held up over time? Is it still flat? I’m researching for my first big project and was just wondering.

Table looks great! I like the additions you made as well. I plan on building this table with your modifications, but I had a few questions for you. I’m a beginner woodworker so bare with me! Lol. Was the length of your center beam 73”? Did you still cut the 1X6’s to 84” as per the Shanty2chic specs? Or did you cut them shorter since you added the header board? Any advice on/or video that could help me cut out those perfect 45 degree miter corners? I appreciate you posting this video and look forward to others to come. Take care. Derek

Thank you I appreciate the kind words! I didn’t build my table to the same dimensions as the plans. My dining room is big so I made the table bigger. There is not really any advice I can give you on the 45 degree cuts. It honestly just takes practice. Hahaha

Is it okay to use pocket holes in breadboards? I use them, but it seems like everybody scolds using them
@1982MCI5 жыл бұрын
Do they work for you and your projects buddy? Yes, everybody scolds against pocketholing bread board ends but fact is the ones that arent scolding against them have been using them without issues and without issues for a number of years from talking with many of them so how can you argue against what someone else has success with? If it works for you then do it. There are no cold hard fast rules to woodworking. We all find what works for us and build off that brother. Take care buddy, hope this helps you or someone else out there

Your videos are criminally under viewed

Great build and production. Keep it up! Bro, your content and craftsmanship do Not match your view count. I’m thinking the libs at YT throttled you down somehow because of that Trump flag on your miter saw station build. I’m not joking, wouldn’t put it past them.

Just keep doing quality vids with quality projects like this one and then hang on and enjoy the ride brother, shit is bout to change!! We gonna bust this channel wide ass open!! I do have a couple other questions for ya but I'm gonna put them in another comment cause they refer to this table and tools. Love ya man, I'm proud of ya and what your doing so please dont change that and let's see if things start changing over the next 2-4 weeks.
