The end of the dinner scene always gets me. Sadie is the perfect mix of youth and adulthood - we forget how young we actually are at 19,20,21 even though being considered legally a child was not so long before that. We have so much to learn and yet, we feel we’re falling behind and we’re caught up in all these small little moments, struggles, and confusion. Trying to do something like cleaning the dishes, meeting new people in a situation we aren’t used to, all of it. And since so many of us were introduced to Sadie at only 14, it really helps the mentality stick for the viewer.

She kind of seems like she’s at New Years party when everyone is wearing black. However, they have a scene for her birthday after these scenes. Her birthday is December 13. You’ll notice that she’s cries and writes a lot after the 7:40 scene. She’s probably writing this song after her dumped her.

I’d kinda always been a casual Taylor fan, always standing at the tipping point, but this really swept me off into her music and I’m pretty sure I’m falling for her now, lol. I realise that people who don’t prefer her music don’t really connect or understand the songs, actual emotion & messages behind her works. Each piece of hers has a depth to it, with a story swirling among her works- a whole journey to be expressed. Most of her songs have that quality, and that’s what makes it a masterpiece. The thought, effect, intricacy and pure feeling she puts into her stuff… it’s incredible, really. I knew people deemed her a lyrical genius, but I understand that now.
