Right towards the end when Taylor says it takes time for men to build something: Couldn't agree more! Now, responsibility still plays a key role, so don't slack, but it really does take awhile until men have something concrete. There's trials and hardships, for sure, but success will come so long as we keep working and learn from our mistakes. I screwed up when I let myself weigh 330 pounds around 25 y/o. I had bad luck with women before that, becoming depressed, not doing much, it was a dark moment in my life. Since after my older brother got married around that time, I decided to lose weight. It took me awhile, even made a couple mistakes along the way, but over 10 years later, I'm 185 pounds, much more physically fit, dressing better, doing more, making more money with work, and feeling good about myself. Unfortunately, on the dating front, I'm still single, but that's okay. Honestly, seeing what's going on with women and the dating world, I'm actually glad it's that way. This isn't to say there are no good women out there that actually like and care about men, but where are they? I've already got a few women who seem interested in me, but I'm not going after them. Here are the reasons: -One, supposedly, got cold feet and cancelled when we scheduled up something to go out. She still talks to me, but I'm not initiating it anymore. Strong chance she wants validation and attention. I'm not giving it to her. If she truly likes me, she would keep her schedule clear and made for me. -One is trying to go full steam ahead with a relationship and we haven't gone out yet. Says that she always winds up with bad men, but I've heard this talk before and I'm being cautious because some of those guys could have been good people. Don't want to end up another victim. -One is being simped on by a whole bunch of other men who have no chance with her. One of those guys being a cousin of mine, and I don't want to get dragged along for that ride. Granted, we have quite a bit in common, but still no excuse to have a bunch of men follow her around like that. -One who is friendly, but cannot get an intelligent conversation out of. It's not that she's dumb, but something Taylor said awhile back, a lot of modern women can't hold logical conversations. They're invested in the vanity and glamour rather than what matters. I simply can't do it with this one. -One who talks about how wonderful it is being single but then tries to attract guys with her physically fit body. Whenever I have a pic of myself online in a 3 piece suit, she posts pics up of herself in a (not overly) provocative dress, like she's trying to attract me. I thought being single was good for a woman. Guess not. Admittedly, I had come across one over a month ago that I would have considered, but she's long gone and I don't know if I'll ever see her again. But, for now, I'm focusing on myself. I've taken ballroom dancing for nearly a year, and considering competition. Ballroom dancing has been a blessing for me because I made new friends, been doing more, and it's helped greatly with my confidence. This may actually land me in other places if I stick to it, so I want to keep going because it is rewarding and it's fun. So, gentlemen, it's okay to take your time to build something, but make sure to stay focused and don't get sidetracked by women you come across that are doing things that are distracting.
