I watched this, while under multiple flood watches and warnings at home in NH (11 days later). The fun continues. You should show yourself hiking back and forth to film the river crossing. It's not as if we don't know you went back after setting up the camera. Seeing it start to finish would be great, especially if it took more than one "take" on the way back to the camera.

I've read so many books and watched other hikers videos but still craved for more detailed minutia of what one experiences on trail. I have been enjoying your day to day details. I don't think that is too uncommon. A few months ago I heard the fire siren go off in my town, so I turned on the scanner. The call was for an SOS from a Garmin device on a local beach. The fire chief asked the dispatcher to contact the party and find out what type of help they needed and if he should send medical or a rope rescue team. About 5 minutes later the dispatcher came back on and said to never mind. She had gotten in contact with the owner of the device and he said he was in Alaska and the device was in Alaska too, and he didn't know why it would be sending an SOS from an Oregon beach. I think those things malfunction pretty regularly.

Hmm guess I’ll be first to say it. Just looks like Taylor wanted a spa day with all that mud. I mean come on folks. Just wonder if it stinks bad and if the shoes are toast from that smell. If that’s the case. InReach doing it’s own rescue. That is something else. Wonder if she was leaning on something and it got turned on. I don’t think that’s possible though as button is on top. I have no idea about how it’d get pushed though. I have one and use my phone to deal with messages and such. There is a button you can hit on phone for SOS as well. Mines always on when I hike. But hmm would suck if it got turned on on accident at home and SOS issue. WOW the joys of the AT. I can’t believe it’s almost over.

That's a bunch on ungood. I, like a lot of people, use the InReach. You kind of expect at its price point that that thing is bullet proof.
