I have to say, after desperately trying to juggle since I was child and never being able to figure out how to do it, even with watching multiple methods over my life (I'm in my 30s), this video was perfect for me. All the tips and guidance and breaking it down, and within 2 week, practising a little every day I can do it. My inner child could cry, I've wanted to learn how to juggle my entirely life and I'm actually so grateful to have found your video. I'm so happy. Thank you!! You've made the little kid in me, and the adult me very very happy

I am in the same boat, I'm a Navy Vet, I've done things people dream of doing in movies. Then comes along someone with videos of juggling from 0.01-99.99. It's like basic math, but no one ever openly makes these videos. I go the three sacks down in 30 minutes, albeit needing more practice. But never even knew how simple it was. I wish it was more commonly practiced. Itys an amazing motor skill to practice and increase other skills. I could have used this in many presentations to impress war heroes even. Alas... Many I knew have long passed. RIP WWII VETS, their passion and knowledge drives me in my oddity endeavors forever.

I literally thought I’d see a lot of junior high level comments. To be honest, I was hoping there would be so mine would blend in but everyone is being nice. This is an impressive tutorial, not just on juggling, but the video quality is great, the audio is great, she has a great voice, she’s delivering the information to keep the audience interested, she’s animated, the editing is great, graphics are practical and helpful.

@LyricalReason9 ай бұрын
@badofcheese yeah I'm decent. I mean I can't juggle for forever, but for the most part, I can start and stop when I choose to, not because they hit the floor. Remembering that the balls dropping is just part of the journey was actually helpful for me. Just practise a little but day by day, and it'll come eventually

I have taught several people how to juggle. Taylor’s video is spot on. I agree with her opinion of not to use tennis balls but I taught someone and that’s all that was available. The frustrating thing about learning that puts off a lot of students is chasing the balls. It’s all part of the learning process but it can be discouraging. One day I found my student with the tennis balls standing in the water at a beach up to his waist, practicing his juggling. When he dropped a ball, because he was in the water, the ball didn’t go anywhere, it floated and he just reached down and picked it up and continued…….. Brilliant

This is an excellent vid. When I taught myself to juggle 55 years ago, with no tutor, I naturally discovered that the key, for me, was to start with two balls in my dominant hand which I tossed up, releasing the second as the first reached its apex. Then I did the same with my left hand, which was harder. I can't explain it, but when I could juggle two balls with one hand, right and left, I started juggling three balls in a matter of an hour or two.

I just want to say thank you for everything.🥰 Around April or May, I started to think that I should start juggling. I was a little bit nervous because I didn't think I could juggle anything (I'm turning 13 in September) but I ordered a pack of balls and started. I watched your video and I became even more excited about this. You are so kind and awesome at juggling, and you are a really great teacher too.😊 I learned the 3 ball method in 2,5 hours, and "qualified" it, I think a week later. Now I actually started juggling more intense (minimum 1 hour almost every day), and I keep getting better and better. Thank you so much for teaching me this awesome skill, and I'm flattered I can say, that a Guinness record-holder taught me how to juggle.

I never learned to rope skip beyond the basics. But after trying and getting better at this within an hour, I'm sad they don't teach kids this. 3 ball juggling is a solo task, even the loners at age 6 could get this down and have a conversation starter. Circus jugglers of the past should have had more public displays and teachings. I'm an antiquer now, I can see why they kept their job security. It's still wonderful. Even when I learn a new juggling pattern I am fascinated with myself and those before me. Lol

So I started learning sort of freestyling the learning process myself with a few key steps my housemate told me as he can juggle. after about 2 weeks of practice (5 min every other day just while the kettle is boiling). It's crazy how much of this I ended up doing instinctively/naturally, the bed/sofa in particular, what this has built into me is the lean forward, I'm absolutely going to try the wall technique. For others in the comments section, I started with socks balled up, definitely harder than kiwis or apples or limes. This video is brilliant and really helped simplify and tidy up the technique for me. I started to learn with the goal of actually learning and self-tech, something that I felt had been severely lacking in my life for the past few years, however, if you just want to learn and don't want to grind it out on your own, this is a great video. Something I found particularly helpful for my own learning that wasn't mentioned above. In the transition of doing two to three balls, try holding the third ball and just sticking with the one-two catch setup and ignore that you're holding the third ball completely, eventually, you get super comfortable with it in your hand and the third one going up will completely surprise you and come from boredom or instinct, just make sure that your always starting with the two ball hand. A couple things for those learning, from someone who can do this three cascade sort of consistently, it's really strange when it clicks but it's super satisfying. I hope some of what I said was clear, I am fully taking up this juggling malarky.

DAY 1: I practiced for about 1,5 hour (in total, spread over the whole day), I can do 3 throws pretty easy, my record is 5 throws :) the balls then fly everywhere, I can’t control where they’re going that good (throwing them higher isn’t more easy, because I can’t throw them high up in a straight line lol) DAY IDEK LMAO: um so i practiced a few days and i am getting a little better, but i still have the same problem, after 5-6 throws the balls fly everywhere :/ i can’t throw them straight up, i throw them too much forward imma keep practicing :)

Make sure you have 2 ball down to a TEE. Once youre able to do tricks and switch it up adding styles to your routine with good rhythm.. i think you should be able to progress to 3. You may want to go back to basics a bit and keep repeating.. maybe theres something youve left out

Taylor, you are great. I am such a big fan of yours. I was doing a smart reading training where it suggested us to do juggling to improve our peripheral vision. So I ended up coming to your tutorial. Awesome teaching of yours. Your style is relaxing and absolutely no pressure. I love it. Thank you!!

Her tips are spot on! I juggled sporadically for 20 years, never got past 3 balls in the cascade and reverse cascade. It will take you a month to learn the cascade. Reverse comes easy. It is all a matter of a little practice every day. 4 ball or 5 ball I think is possible, it would take 5 day a week practice for months.... (her tip about focusing on a spot to throw to is crucial).

Hi Taylor. Many thanks for this manual! The best there is. I am 58 years old and had started passing one ball left and right as this has a calming effect on the brain and increased focus. Then suddenly I thought why not try 2 balls? And then I got the bright idea to start juggling. With the help of your video I now do 2 balls smoothly. I hope to go to 3 balls soon. This would really be a win. I've never done this before. fingers crossed...I will definitely keep practicing!

I taught myself to juggle 22yrs ago but never ever progressed further than a basic cascade. I have juggled almost everyday since 15yrs old, but never pursued it. The past couple of weeks I have decided to further my juggling and found your channel! You have a much better (sorry to the other channels😆) way of teaching than pretty much all the other channels I have seen.

Hey Taylor! It’s been a while since I watched this video. I was talking to Joe DiNoto and he said I should let you know that, you are the reason I can juggle today. Your explanations are great and it was something I always thought were just beyond my ability. So thank you and please keep up the amazing work. :)

I was saying to some friends recently that I always wanted to learn how to juggle. I checked out a few KZbin videos, and luckily stumbled across yours. In just a few days of practice following every step you described, I'm now up to a three ball flash! Thank you so much! Your explanation was really clear and useful. I followed your advice and made sure I was confident with two balls before taking up the third. It was really helpful that you switched to the colored balls for the three ball cascade explanation. I also liked how you said we should commend ourselves for doing even three catches. So, now, I'm going to aim for 4, 5, and then the big 6 catch qualify. Wish me luck!

I am 64 and learning to juggle has been on my bucket list for years. I stumbled upon this video quite by accident, was completely inspired, and purchased your signature juggling balls. I took your advice and have kept my practicing to around 10 minutes per day. It is the 7th day now and I just completed 4 3-ball flashes starting with 2 balls in my dominant hand (right). I haven't been able to do it with 2 balls in my left yet - 3rd toss goes bananas🤣. I am finding that the tossing of the balls to a consistent height and plane is key so I warm up with the one ball toss and catch drill. It is amazing to me how difficult it is just to do that - makes me feel like a spazz sometimes. Thanks for having such a warm, inviting way about you. And I'm really glad you're a girl because I'm a girl too (or I still feel like one at my age😉)

Some **Timestamps** that helped me out quite a lot: - 02:36 Aim for shoulder with points. - 03:05 Catch outside shoulder. - 03:08 Throw inside shoulder. - 03:29 Focus on higher throw. - 03:45 When first comes down, throw second. - 03:51 Don't start with dominand hand. - 04:21 Focus on hitting those points. - 04:34 If second ball flies too far, intentionally focus on second throw, aim for that spot! - 04:58 If you throw the balls to fast, only throw if the second comes down, pay attention to the rythm! - 12:38 Juggling variations

Excellent tutorial full of great advice! As someone who has taught others to juggle I absolutely agree with your comment about finding a local juggling club and asking someone for help. What I found worked really well was to get the student to lightly hold my wrists while _I_ was juggling, and follow my hand movements with theirs. By doing that they learn the movement and start to build the muscle memory that is the key to basic juggling. For learning on your own, one important thing to realise is that all the balls follow a figure-of-eight pattern, not just back-and-forth arcs between your hands. Your method with the two aim points is another way to explain that.

This is a banging tutorial, I tried juggling with socks then some homemade bean bags and finally got some proper weighty balls today and they make a great deal of difference.can do 4 catches with 3 balls, sometimes. Making that bit of progress is addictive. New hobby! 2 week edit for anyone reading this: hit about 66 catches with 3 ball cascade, a lot more consistent now, throws are still a bit sloppy but catches are good. Started learning to juggle two balls in one hand now. Juggling is amazing.
