My husband always preferred stick welding. He never could get comfortable with the wire feed welder‘s even though I bought him an awesome as a gift but he just couldn’t get comfortable with it. Always went back to stick welding. Shorten up the wheelbase on our trucks. He go next-door and roll the tank. I go down and get the inSan in Orange County California because septic trucks and toilet trucks have vacuum under it so they wouldn’t second one thing I worried about he was always getting down in the tank and he didn’t wear a respirator. He was 29 years older than me, but he did live to be a week for being 85 years old so even all the crazy stuff he did with his welding hand popping hazmat just saying he had a good life. And I miss him a lot. and I watch your wife with you on the pallet. No, he put me on the pallet to go paint something and I’m afraid of heights and when you get to the top, there is nothing to hold onto and then was with his homemade forklift. I love that guy and we did have a good life together. And when he got what he was having trouble, he could walk me through how to fix something tell me how to do it and I wish I could remember half the things he taught me for. What is 74 I don’t know, but I really do it.

What a great hinge system this is for handling cattle most particularly horses who tend to be really touchy entering and when contained within stock yard gates and holding chutes, no nasty scalping gate hinge knuckles protruding. You sir are setting the new gold standard for stockyards design courtesy of USA initiative and good old know how that hasnt been destroyed by the HR Secret police, department. Just curious, do you ever use a vibratory plate on a skip loader to drive posts in? I lived in NE Nevada, and we would get -20 degrees in the winter. Post that were concreted in tended to heave eventually, but the posts that were driven with the the plate, never budged. We also used drill pipe and would sink the posts 4 ft. deep. Really nice build on the gate and hinges!

Nice looking project, I understand omitting the grease fittings, lazy empty headed people rarely service them with lube. They end up rusting closed and won't allow grease to pass through. Your cap will prevent water entry that could promote rust. I likely would've smeared a heap of marine grade grease on the internals of the hinge before putting it together, but I think you have a very well made lifetime gate here. As long as some drunk don't slam their vehicle into it. It may be a good idea to fasten a few reflectors along the span of the top cord just in case. Now go do this on a much larger scale along our southern border please! And don't forget to electrify it before you leave.
