As someone else commented, I never would have thought to cut holes in the pipe but instead would have coped the square tubing. However, I do see the advantage of doing it your way. It’s much easier to position the tubing working by yourself. Your way may well be the better way to skin the cat. Nice job.

Coping the tubing was pretty time-consuming. that’s what I started to do and I realize how long is going to take.

Cutting out the pipe instead of coping the square tube is a nice touch that i would of never thought of but since you cut out the pipe, was the miter on the sqaure tube absolutely even necessary? 🤔

even with a triple o, i would be laying the torch at a steep angle so it is actually cutting a thicker section,,, i really like your harping on a clean tip, a lesson i got back in the mid 70s,,, the ripping sound of the properly cleaned tip is always the sound of a true craftsman,,,

He's smart, only thing it's best to pull the tip off torch head before you clean it so you won't push slag into your torch this will end up stopping your holes back up.

Helpful tips as always. Whenever you hang those gates I'd like to see how you estimate your sag when you hang two gates and want them even with eachother. I usually have to try it a couple times before they come out right.

How did you line up both fences, since they are across the road from each other did you pull from the road and put stakes in the ground with string line

Impressive Chris. Two things, why not use a plasma cutter, they seem to be faster and cut cleaner. You'll probably say it's because you have no onboard air on the truck and gas bottles are easier to hual on the truck? Also, why cut square holes into the columns, but instead cut the square tubing with a radius and but it to the pipe? It would be plenty strong as you're still welding 360' around the square tube. In any case, you do some fine work. Maybe, for content, you could do another video addressing the comments here in this video and put us all in our place. Lol

Those are all good questions. I will include them in the next video when I’m working on that fence. But you’re right I didn’t have on the truck and coping the square tubing was just time consuming

Do the layout and cope the tubing. If the posts are all janky and out of plumb... That may be an issue. But if everything is done right to begin with... It's pretty easy to do the layout and possibly make a template to cope the tubing to fit the pipe. At least that is how I would do it.

It probably would have been easy to saddle as well. Maybe I’m wrong. But I think you could have cut each end of your ST to the angle you want, then just saddle the top and bottom after, slid the ST down.
