Why i love Africa and Nigeria isn't quiet simple, even though the circumstances are challenging, but the originality, the pride that comes with being black, the cultural differences and yet we are all proud to say we are Black. The strength that comes in our weakness, the desire for more, and the love in our hearts to see good. I am proud to be Black I am proud to be a Nigerian I am proud to be African

@@TayoAinaFilms nice videos. But you didn't ask her the most important question ⁉️ "How did she get her initial capital". Was it loan, was it investors? Etc...
@godschild46153 жыл бұрын
@@TayoAinaFilms Thank you for the video and more kudos to Jumoke for what she's doing. However, I feel I must point this out even though nobody is doing that in the comment probably because they don't want to be seen as bad belle as Nigerian would always call you when you try to point out an error. It would have been nice if you asked the young lady about her source of funding the business, which makes this video seem like it's intended to show her off or castigate people rather than inspire others to be like her. I may be wrong but we know how naija people showoff when they make it even when their source is questionable. I'm sure you'll agree on that not that I'm suggesting she is like that. Starting a furniture business is not chicken change considering all the machines and tools you have to buy and we all know how difficult it is to get a loan for business in Nigeria but maybe she did get a loan, we need to know that since you're telling us about her or maybe she has a rich father who established her. I watched a similar video by Wode Maya interviewing Demi Samande who equally has a furniture business like Jumoke and anybody that saw it will quickly know the source of Demi's funding for her furniture business because she lived and worked abroad for a while but which cannot be possible with Jumoke considering her young age. Wode video is simply suggesting to those abroad that Nigeria is a fertile place for them to invest. If you hope to inspire people especially those who truly have big dreams in Nigeria with this type of video and not make them feel their life is useless, honesty is key especially from people you interview. Let them know the aim of the video so that they can be truthful enough, except there's a different intention for the video. All the same, well done

Same word for Africa is ONE. Wore till it's thread worn. So we took her to the seamstress, the seamstress seamed stressed. She yearns her tools to rest. Says for too long they fixed a mess. Maybe it was just to change the dress. Africa needs a redress. When I see creatives who thrive against all the odds stacked upon them, I realise that these are the people who will clothe Africa anew. Who will change the narrative, twist the plot, stand upon the stage of the world and tell our stories. Stories of growth and most importantly stories of a rebirth. My love for Africa stems from an undaunting belief that greatness lives here ❤️

Stop having this quitter mentality and start creating and prove the Nigerian government and the western world wrong! One thing I love about Africans(Nigerians) is her COURAGE, and with this COURAGE comes extraordinary HOPE, HOPE for the better FUTURE, HOPE for their country's strength, and HOPE for those around them. Each country in Africa is unique, has its own culture and different lifestyle and I would love people around the world to learn, to re-think their current view of what this region looks like and is often depicted as, and get to know it because AFRICA is the FUTURE and the FUTURE is not a time zone that is yet to come, the FUTURE is NOW... I'm proud to be a NIGERIAN. Big ups TAYO for this remarkable content.

You are so right, we need to start taking risks and don’t depend on Government. It’s individuals that create Jobs with their ingenuity and not government. The Nigerian youth will turn this country around by the grace of God..

Nigeria, I think her millennials are now 'woke' to the fact that working for someone is so less satisfying, you know the white collar office bullshit - the drive is not money but relevance and the urger to be expressively creative, and it is fast becoming a trend. This is why I so much love Nigeria currently. At 26, I was in my job with 6 figures and cool, but that is no more a trend, and it's lovely.

To be honest, I love stories this. They inspire me alot. I used to feel like my thoughts are not well-aligned when I tell people that I am not craving to leave Nigeria. The whole craze to Japa makes me question what will become of Nigeria if the teeming youths keep on porting to Canada and Europe. Who will change the narrative and state of things here in Nigeria. Who do we expect to bring about the transformation we whine about. Honestly, as a software developer, God knows I am not particularly after leaving the country for greener pasture (those countries are busy depleting our invaluable human resources to enrich themselves all the more, while we continue to leave the fate of dear motherland to some wonderful people/ leaders.) I might not have a good business acumen to start up a business today. But God knows I am willing to become a part of initiatives that will impact lives. And even with videos and persons like this one, I will continue to be gain inspiration such that will drive me to fulfil my desired aspirations. That is fulfilment for me. I love my motherland. I love my home.

I truelly pray that you'll reach your goal and that you'll impact so many lives in Nigeria. I live abroad, and I'm planning on coming back to do logistics. I don't find it worth it doing business in Europe or America, Nigeria is way better for business. Even though Nigeria has it's inconveniences and Europe/America might be easier to start business, Nigeria has greater potential than the Western world when it comes to business. People say that Nigeria frustrates people out of business, but let me tell you that Europe frustrates people out of business as well! My mother used to own an african shop in Europe, but she closed down after 21 years, because she was on government subsidies so she wasn't allowed to work anymore and that if she worked, she would risk of going to jail. She even had to put the business on my brother's name so that she could be "employed" and just "help" around. The government in Europe are so controlling, that they sent the police to go and see if my mother was present or not, and they would always come unexpectedly. My brother had no interest in the business and he had his own job, so my mum was always at the shop still working. The shop was his on paper, but in reality it was still my mum's. Every single day my mum would go to her shop frightened, because she never knew when the police would show up and might arrest her. The police have busted her several times and she had to pay huge amount of money. The police would show up with 4 or 5 vehicles as if there was a crime scene. Just last year, the police came again, and this time the government was suing her, and she was very likely to go to jail (she won the case, thank God). So she closed down her shop after 21 years in business! Worst thing of all is that she never made as much money as this young lady in this video! Europe/America is filled with debt, bills, high rent etc, that you'll never save a lot of money or have enough money. High taxes are here, some European countries take up to 55% of taxes! So you'll only receive half the money you made! This is something that africans abroad deal with, but won't tell you. Tell me, do they do this in Nigeria? The hardest part about Nigeria is that the government won't help you in the beginning in your business, but Nigeria offers you the freedom to whatever you want in business. The lack of government intervention makes the business actually easier and more interesting for the individual. See how government intervention and constant surveillance in Europe made my mum to close down! Sometimes lack of government presence can be a blessing. See how the Nigerian music industry is growing without the help of the government. Because of the freedom in doing business in Nigeria, so much money can be made, more money than in Europe. My mum has said several time that her sisters back in Nigeria are not suffering the way she is suffering in Europe. Her sisters all have businesses and a house that they've built and own, and they have zero debt or bills. While buying a house in Europe is impossible 90% of the people rent, not to talk about building a house. She envies her sisters back in Nigeria because they are truelly living comfortably, even though Nigeria might have struggles. She even said that people in Nigeria don't know how blessed they are to be living there, and that abroad is not as good as people think. She's ashamed but will post pics on fb smiling lol and show her family.

I’m looking forward for ideas to build on and invest in. You and a few African KZbinrs like Wode Maya have been inspiring me lately. Blessings from Canada

This is the first time I'm hearing and seeing this and I'm blown away Ii wanted to watch it to the end. I love her spirit and her vibe also and designs. There are lots of people like her in Nigeria who won't blame the country for whats happening to them but look for opportunities in disguise and keep working and growing. I hope the company grows to be a household name in Africa
