I'm not a huge fan of the Nubass, but it's fun, easy to use, sounds pretty good, is small, battery powered and looks cool! I guess that's what the Volcas are all about.

100% It has it's place and I will use it as a layer but rarely will it be the main element.

2:30 in the ownersmanual is a little diagram. One half of the tube is the main oscillator and the other is for saturation of the sub.

The Korg is holding it's own! I love it. The 303 IS and ALWAYS will be the Fat Boss of Bass! It's where it all began as far the bass acid sound. But man the Korg sound nice

I was really surprised when I started doing a B2B between the two of them. I think the Nubass has it's own flavor in the Acid world.

everytime it switched to 303 it feels there is something important badly missing on Nubass. It is so far, that a comperation is something like apple and peaches. I have the TD-3 MO, and yes it is also far from the original but also useable for some Acid stuff . In my opinion the most close of a original TB3303 is D16 Phoscyon 2 software plugin, i had a lot of fun with it

100% agree. The Nubass is great for the price but it was just lacking that something extra. I haven't checked out the D16 plug, I have had some great fun with the Audiorealism 303 plug-in.

303 sounds great in all examples and settings IMO, whereas the Nubass needs to be dialed in to hit a sweet spot before it really hits. Definitely different machines best suited for their specific/individual qualities.

100% I loved that the Nubass held its own. While the Nubass isn't great for everything I think it's a great little bass synth without that $1500 price tag.

Every time the Nubass gets somewhere cool, but when you switch over to the TB-303 it's like "OK, that's the sound!" I've just heard so much TB-303 over the years, and when that's what you want, that's what you want. I'll probably still go for a Nubass and maybe a Behringer TD-3 as well, since I'm saving more than $1000. ;-)

For sure. It’s hard to justify paying $1500 for a mono synth even if it is the original 303. I never really like the sound of behringer.
