TB PRACTECAL | A groundbreaking clinical trial to treat MDR-TB

Tuberculosis (TB) is often thought of as a disease of the past. However, in 2023, it is still one of the world’s top infectious killers.
Thanks to the trust of our supporters, in 2017 we launched a groundbreaking clinical trial - TB PRACTECAL - working with communities across multiple countries to find a shorter, safer and more effective treatment for people with multidrug-resistant TB.
And, last year, we did it.

Hi Thank you so much for the efforts you’ve put in helping people with this infection and gruesome treatment, As someone who had to go through 8month of this physical and emotional torture I’ll say this is a very good news and relief to us, I have a few questions to ask I hope you don’t mind, Are these drug now available to the public? And what countries are these drugs available to? I started my treatment in January and took it till my 8month or 8 and half and then stopped, I’m scared I might have a relapse are there any chances of having a relapse after taking till the 8month? We were told the side effects stops on the 6th month which is not true cause it continues till the end of treatment and some time after cause of the mental stress we’ve been put through, Is there a contact number or address I could reach out to? Would appreciate it so much?
