The best way to make "deposits" is to raise your children with love, instilling moral values and a care and respect for one another. This starts at home! Remembering the old proverb: "Train up a child in the way he should go teaching him to seek God's wisdom and will for his abilities and talents. Even when he is old he will not depart from it." These are the things that carry/spill over from generation to generation. In as much as it "takes a village", you can't be all things to all people! There are ever-changing outside enfluences (satan), that impact each generation socially, politically, and economically. This comes with every generation. I don't drink, don't smoke, don't take any medications, I walk 2 miles a day, I meditate, and I speak French fluently. I have 3 adult children, the youngest has a disability, and takes up a lot of my time even now. But, I've raised my kids to be productive members of society. I think my obligation as a parent, was to raise my children, and if all parents raised their children as such, they wouldn't need society to raise them.
