That first clip with the shotgun reminded me of something that happened yesterday when I was playing the WWII based first person shooter game Enlisted, in which I had run into a house with a 12 gauge shotgun I shot an enemy in the head and the head ragdolled and went rubber banding everywhere before finally settling down as the body hit the floor

6:03 Yes, this is realistic for most rocket launchers (except maybe the rpg-7?): the warhead won't explode until the rocket has traveled a minimum distance for obvious safety reasons. In the clip, the only explosion is the rocket firing, there is no explosion for the warhead because it didn't explode. So, yeah, the target got hit by a rocket instead of a rocket propelled grenade. Now of course, that would likely kill a person irl, because it's heavy and moving very fast. But in a game where a rifle isn't a one shot kill to the torso, this is proportionally realistic.

For snipers 2042 is almost unplayable. You basically have a 50/50 chance that your hit actually lands, and you won’t be able to even use the scope without being killed by the same helicopter for the 92nd time.

If you shoot someone with a bazooka or rpg point blank, it probably won't kill your target. The ammunition used in projectile launchers usually has a priming distance, and it's more of a shape charge. Even on direct impact, or hitting their arm, it is not enough force to detonate the charge. More likely to bounce or ricochet off the soft target. Soft target would definitely receive wounds removing them from combat.
