Ohhhh noes someone figured out the op demon spec. I've been theory crafting that with this u could push north of 1200 spellpower and dmg . Could be higher. Or lower depends on % of what the demons health is. Another one was succubus with the same build for 20% increase dmg ... juicy

For your demo spec, it would be pretty easy to test what is better. Multiply your crit chance times your average bonus damage from ruin. If that number is smaller than the spell power increase, then the spell power increase is worth more than ruin.

So I've actually played exclusive Deep Demo specs in classic and through endless TBC, the spec is massively slept on. Playing Orc is a must and going the extra mile on consumes too, but it's definitely viable. I'd switch some points off corruption and put it into bane though, probably 2/3 or 1/4 split

Wouldnt 5/5 in Bane for lower cast time on shadow bolt be better than 5/5 imp corruption for PVE in the demo spec

I don't think so. The reason being is casting 2-3 instant cast corruptions is more beneficial than .5 second faster shadowbolts. The idea of that spec is to buff your pet to crazy levels and it will be doing a huge percentage of your damage, while you are still adding your own with multidot corruptions and a few shadowbolts to get the improved SB procs which is only to help your other raid members. Shadowbolt wouldn't be the main source of your damage with that build, as you are missing important talents to compliment shadowbolt (Ruin/SM/S&F). If spamming shadowbolt for damage is your playstyle, you could use many better builds for that specifically. Obviously you wouldn't be sacrificing your succubus, as you need your Felguard out, so shadowbolt is pretty weak in the build.

Black book doesn't affect felgaurd. So the big question comes down to be what will be more damage. World buffed felgaurd or consume buffed imp with black book. I suppose imp will be, which will actually be good. Means you don't have to world buff a pet lmao

I run DS/SM at the moment, it’s gonna be insane come TBC, due to you will have Bane and Imp shadowbolt. I think the survival of this spec and the kite dmg is unparalleled! Currently drain life took my filler spell instead of shadowbolt

DM/DS by saccing void is absolutely awesome. It was great in classic and with fel armor it is even better. But not sure how well it works in dungeons... because dungeon farming is a thing.

@@BREAKocean I went deep destro this week. It plays mostly the same, except you don't have to sac succ so you can keep your imp out. On the few bosses where mechanics won't kill your pet, you can take out the succubus for melee damage. Voidwalker is also an option for a pocket sac for certain times when you might need it. I didn't use Shadowfury as much as I should have due to my absent mindedness, but it is a great spell. Even beyond this though, it's nice to also do great hellfire damage without having to sac your imp. Overall a very easy spec to play for the damage it does. I had also tried deep afflic before, but a) with 40 people, there's still a relevant debuff cap and b) enemies often die too quickly, especially if you're diligent about curses, which is why I particularly liked playing deep destro. It's still good to have an immo and corruption up, but it's not essential to your damage.

i think pre-patch will have increased debuff slots. It's kinda has to be the tbc build for them to give us belfs/dreanei as they're in a seperate client.

PI will have been changed to haste not dmg regarding improved corruption. Also demonic aegis increases the spell power from felarmor so it’s not just armor.

Not sure if someone said it before, but Black Book specifically says that it affects Imp, Succubus, Voidwalker or Felhunter (no Felguard). So unless this is changed in 2.4.3, it won't work on the Felguard!

I've never specced into soul link, so that seems the most interesting to me atm. I am decked out in naxx gear and would love to give it a shot! Also that sm/ds spec just screams monster corruption ticks. I would love to see how high I could get them to tick. In raid atm they almost tick for 500 so with the new spec I'm guessing it will just melt people down

Have you done the math on Shadow and Flame vs DS? I edited the coefficient in one of the popular warlock spreadsheets to sim that talent, and it just doesn't add up to be enough to lose 15% dmg :/

You can't get shadow and flame with ds at level 60. That's only available for level 70. Which is the typical destro spec at 70

No, I havnt run sims for prepatch specs since I am focusing my time on giving a brief overview of every class. I wouldn't be able to get each video out day after day if I broke down the math/sims for each potential build. Does the sim you run suggest staying a typical ds ruin build than?

@@IamAliveTv No worries! I get it, and the content is cool and there's lots of unexplored things to do if we get a 1 month meme prepatch to play all sorts of silly specs. It's pretty easy to math out the benefit of SnF compared to 15% from DS at 60 (warlocks are simple to math out in general as they SB spam). Quick way is with Zephan's sheet you just have to change the SB coefficient to simulate what you'd get with SnF and find out it doesn't catch up to DS. So prepatch looking a little boring for us locks. That said, Shadowfury could potentially make up for it on overall damage.

depends on your gear and buffs but usually indeed, UA is not worth getting over Ruin... it's only with very bad gear >and< no ele shammy + boomkin to boost your crit that UA is worth it
