Friendly advice vs mage it's better to keep your sac until you see him casting sheep, then pop it at the end of his cast - if well timed he'll insta break the sheep for you.

It is, I just didn't use it very often. Still getting used to it, as it's better for judgement damage but not as a seal to use during auto attacks.

I have a question - I am so annoyed by the realities of ret in TBC Classic arena. I know I’m all pumped up for ret, my absolute favorite class ever, don’t want to play anything else, but as it happened before in original TBC and Classic, you get to max level and you just see that even though it’s fun, you are screwed compared to other classes. You can do ok, but to do well, you gotta be as good as you are, which is rare. Honest question - how far in rating do you think you could go on ret/+x 2s if you did your best vs an average player? If I wanna go gladiator, does it even make sense to roll ret, cause I was pumped and disappointed before, and I’ d say I am a solid player since I did not play that much, but would plan to put in the time this time around... thanks dude, congrats on such great content.

@@andunar Thanks! It really depends, if you have a really good shaman and you become very good on ret, you can push high rating. I'm not sure how good the comp is in Season 1, but it ret is def viable in pve. It's a hard call, but I think, with any class in TBC, if played with perfection you can push high rating!

Just go and watch the TBC GOD SPEANK !Ret / Rshaman is considered of tbc pro players the 0 tier or god comp at the moment as it has 0 counters in the game . The main reason is as that comp outburts and can outlast more comps due to mana management. On top of that Rshaman uses mostly rank 1 spells that cost 70 mana and the ret pala will go with rank 1 seals ,+ a ret pala will use the stop attack ,cast seal attack macro to sealtwist as blizzard updated it to be just like endless tbc server ( by that you prevent human error of incorrectly twisting as you can mistake weapon range or the 0.5). I would recommend you to follow Speank as he is the tbc god at the moment and the creator of the Cactus Retri. It is not a popular comp as it is extremely hard for a retri player to do the twisting on a movement target , especially when you have to hoj , heal sometimes and do other stuff. You can also check the " speank retri school video or the speank rank 1 retri video session where he explains how to play Retri vs every comp in the game as retri /rshaman is probably the strongest tag team at the moment that compliments each others weakness to the fullest.

A small advice from a fellow ret : don't overestimate the power of judgment. When you burst a target in a hoj first use CS + let the auto hit accure to proc the SoC, then, when ur auto is recharging - judge. You lose lots of procs in your vid buddy ). Also judgment of crusader is not worth wasting time most of the games. When you offheal equip healing mace + shield and, if you have time, try buffing blessing of light - it boosts your healing by decent amount. The judgment mana return talent isn't worth speccing into - go for eye for an eye instead + 1 extra point to melee crit reduction. Otherwise - smart build btw (cool thing about abusing stoicism + 66% seal dispel protection to make it total 96% instead of 100 so it can be targeted by dispells/purges and annoy these classes 8) )

How viable are ret actually for arena in tbc ? I mean if you just want high enough rating to buy gear/weapons. Can an average player do that or no you need to be like super skilled / lucky ? This is what I remember arena being like. Thought out, tactical and a good ebb and flow. Not this insta burst non-sense we have in retail. Never quit an expac so fast. Takes zero thought, mash 1 shot macro and pray.
