In this video I show the insane burst damage that a Presence of Mind Pyroblast mage can do!! I was playing with a Shadow Priest and we did some awesome CC setups in order to burst the kill target! Hope you enjoyed!

Tip, try to line up your pom with clearcasting procs. You get an additional 30% crit chance from talents with clearcasting meaning pom can actually crit consistently which also gives you huge ignites:)

I have also seen an interesting comb recently: double shockadin for crazy burst. Alternatively POM Pyro mage & shockadin should also be a decent comb. Would love to see double shockadin though

Maybe with one pally having the prot tree for 35 second hammer stun. Stun early to get trinket and then hope to get a kill on the next cd hammer combos. I feel like it would fail a lot but you never know.

Great video. I have a few questions: 1) Are you using rank 1 blizzard? 2) What's the purpose of scorch? Is it for the scorch debuff or are you trying to get a clearcast crit? If it's the latter, are you using rank 1 scorch or highest rank? Edit: I think it's also to waste the opponent's spell reflect? 3) Do you use arcane missiles instead of fire ball because it deals damage quicker than fireball (since fireball has 2 sec cast time instead of arcane missile's channeling)?

I will try to answer these for him.. Yes rank 1 blizzard for mana efficiency. Scorch debuff adds 15% more damage, faster casts for crits which ignite and also proc more clearcasting. He uses arcane missles because they hit hard and they cannot kite them, only use missles when they are fleeing.

Hits for about 2800 non crit, so you have to get him to 50% or it’s usually wasted.

You really shouldn't skip out on mind mastery in arcane, it will be an additional 125-150 spellpower which adds that extra kick to your spells on top of the 50% additional bonus dmg from crits whereas the talents in firepower don't really add much, what you lack in survivability without blazing speed you makeup for by hitting like a truck even without your cooldowns, 3.5-4k fireballs.

Nothing is surviving this damage, especially early on...wondering if 2 3 or 5 Pom pyro mages are even beatable lol. LoS if the only way but then you have arcane missiles.

Try to work a bit more on your setup. Mage/priest is all about patience and setup. Once somebody pops a trinket usually it's best to reset and set things up for the kill with the next full sheep/fear/2x silence. Of course depending who you're playing against. things seem very rushed here which sure gets your some kills etc but it's more like taking a chance every time. Best for priest to go disc with silence btw, and slow for the mage is just completely insanely good. That gives you so many tools to set up properly. That got me gladiator title in 2s back in original TBC.
