Always thought the pricing in the game was off since i came back to the game. i'll pass on this bundle all together. This game would be better from an "entertainment" perspective if they dropped a zero from every price point. finding it harder to be motivated to waste money on digital content, life inflation in general is taking priority from it. You also hit the nail on the head, you can buy multiple complete games with way more value and replayability then overpriced dlc in an mmo. Great video o7

Has anybody checked if these people working at Cryptic aren't actual Ferengi? The Borg Dreadnought put a smile on my face (cause I wanted a Borg Ship) when I got it from the Lock Boxes and I knew I was getting ripped off back then. This is just bad, hope it fails to sell spectacularly.

Two words came to mind when I saw this bundle released: totally shameless. None of these ships, whether bundled or sold individually, are worth more than the cost of a game’s entire developmental cycle but yet there they are, fleecing their customers every chance that they get with these extortionist bundles. A more apt name for these bundles would be the shameless choice bundle and the mega fleece bundle. Spencer, thank you for doing such a painstaking value analysis on this dumpster fire of a bundle. You just can’t sugarcoat how crappy this bundle is and what new low Cryptic has stooped to with it’s release. As I watched you doing a breakdown of the numbers, it was oddly reminiscent of that scene from the first Jurassic Park when the protagonists come upon a sick triceratops.

The part that many people are missing, is that if you purchased a couple of the other Mudd's bundles, then with this bundle you have the Son'a three piece ship set.

It is really a joke how much Cryptic is charging For reference that is in Australian Dollars $451 for three items. Sale price $225. Embracer really need to come in and start stamping heads at cryptic. Also if you voice this opinion in the Ten Forward stream Kael silences or bans you. It is so unreasonable how much they milk the player base and are actually hurting the bottom line of the game.

This bundle is just mostly for the ships. Other than Borg Juggernaut and Husnok extras the rest haven't aged well or even more irrelevant for us to buy. Lol I think Cyptic is going to make another that's 2 in a row crappy bundles.

OGame is just a game I've played on and off for a long time. Sadly the devs for it are starting to kill it off with the direction they're going, but I'm enjoying it while it's around.

Thanks for the in-depth look at these ships as I knew little about their performance beforehand. Too many reasons not to buy this bundle for me. Don't like the Borg Jugg aesthetic. The Son'a ship's sails are interesting but not that keen really. At a 75% discount maybe. The Husnock is the only one I'd really consider, but without access to the Miradorn console, feels a little lacking. The Picard bundle being arguably the worst value bundle in the store, and already having half the stuff in it, means it's another no. As you say, the filler items are all poor value compared to buying them separately in various sales, and have been ever since Mudd's bundles were a thing. You'd think they'd adjust the amounts you get to make them more appealing as an option. Just to add, regarding the hard to value Ultimate Tech Upgrades...if you obtain your Lobi through buying master keys via the 20-key keyring bundle (in a good sale), you're getting a number of Ultimate Tech Upgrades for free as a by-product of doing so. Better that, than wasting one third of a mudd's choice on them. One thing that might change my mind is if the Mudd's bundle Phoenix token was an account unlock instead of the traditional single character unlock. That would offer a decent alternative to those who don't want all the three included ships. There are three of those old event ships I'd jump at the chance to get account unlocked, possibly more eventually. As it is though, for me, there's no good reason to buy this.

I really appreciate your detailed video, it's been a long while coming back to the game after getting P.C repairs. I was hoping to get a Borg Sci ship finally for my Borg - Sci-Med captain. Would you have any recommendations for Borg captains?

Sadly, there's no full sci ship that has a borg theme. The only ships with a borg theme are this Liberated Jugg, and the old Tal Shiar Adapted Battlecruiser & Destroyer. Might just be a better route to pick up the borg set from the Omega rep, and use it in the vanity slots of a ship that has the stats you want. That set can add a nice borg flair to any ship.

I dunno. If you can pick 3 epic prize tokens by your math that’s 210 bucks in refined dilithium. I also know people that have opened over 1500 of the Phoenix boxes that have yet to see a single prize token. That’s 12.000 zen with no token and honestly at some point the only thing of value in those boxes are the tech upgrades.

It's a waste of money, but they could buff some of the outdated promo ships to bring them up to 2023 as in console/buff seats. Who the hell is mad enough to purchase these? I would love to purchase items from Mudd but there is no way in hell I am paying these over-inflated prices, then again Mudd was a con artist. The value on anything in this game isn't there anymore, everything is just way over-the-top.

Lobi gets even worse. If you're dead set on Lobi for consoles or outfits or whatever, your best bet is always going to be 20 key ring sales, especially if you're actually paying money. Three key ring bundles are roughly $50. (1687 per key ring @ 25% off = 5061 Zen). You get 60 keys. Rounding up from your calculations, you open 56 boxes, leaving you 4 keys, 3 Ultimate Tech Upgrades and 300 some odd Lobi and whatever was in the boxes. This means you got your Lobi, were able to gold three items, you could sell the last of the keys for about 45 million EC, and at the very least you probably have a space trait or two. There is no version of Lobi as a secondary in Mudd's bundles is anywhere near worth the asking price. At 500, there might be a case to be made. Definitely not as things stand.

I always wondered if these Super Expensive Mudd bundles were actually selling or not with how many they make and at such high prices. I agree the bundle has to hold value like the 10th anniversary bundle which has Legendary Cannon versions of ships along with tons of past consoles and Traits, some of which really help other ship builds as well. This was the one I purchased. I’m also a bit taken back at how hard they swing for the fences on promoting and pushing these bundles. Since they came out with these bundles it’s like , . Cryptic, . You lost me 🫤. . . Why so Expensive ? 😬 I don’t get it 😂

The Liberated Borg is a good torp boat. But I personally prefer the Akira for torp build. Don't care much for the other two ships. This bundle is a pass for me.

Only one that looks effective is the Husnock ship. A long time ago I did want the Son'a ships but not anymore. One good thing out of this whole Mudd Bundle for me makes it pretty terrible. Oh well, I get to save money though! Thanks for the review.

They are being very Lazy at this point, when they could update the older ships up to the 2023 power levels they just selling old ships that are not very good for rediculous prices. They are just squeezing the player base for as much cash as they can at this point. With the game being 13 years old how long will it continue, that is what worries me, sinking money like this into a game that could disappear at any moment.

That is just not worth it at all. I have 2 of those ships already. They're not new and i'm talking about both PC and on the playstation star trek online I don't have that son'a ship but I don't care I got the other son'a ships. Don't waste your money on that pack. That's a garbage pack if it was an ultimate pack that gave you all the ships including the retrofits the dread Knox. Then yeah I'd say o k maybe worth it but Three hundred dollars for just those 3old ships it's not worth it. You could still get Those ships on the lobby store or the exchange for Cheap.
