TBI 5.7 350 edelbrock egr carb intake install.

I though I'd post a video giving a brief description on how to install an edelbrock 3701 carburetor intake manifold on your tbi 5.7 350 engine. this can also apply to any Throttle body injected V8. Here's some links to everything you'll need....

I'm going to attempt mounting my 1987 TBI system to an Edelbrock 2701 carb intake manifold. I think I can make it work, but not sure what I'm going to do about the mounting bracket that holds the map sensor. This is a non egr intake, so that will be deleted.

How’s it run with those tbi spacers and the air horns shaved off? I did all that to mine and now I have a hesitation off idle…

Did you notice any performance out of the swap?? I would imagine it flowing a lot more air but did it make a difference..

@@jamesweber7269 sorry I just saw this lol. To be honest, I did this swap at the same time I did an engine swap on this truck.it does have more kick than a stock intake for sure but I could use a tune to dial it in.

Is were did u run your heater hose that was hooked up to back Right PS Of the intake, the tbi motor an intakes are an the gaskets are specially built even the gaskets, have that little hole only in the back for heat, because they decided to put the heater hose in the Hotspot in the back of the head, my ? Is were did u put your heater hose that was in the back of the head?? Did u put it up on the passenger side front port, an have no over heating problems?? There's a port on the front of the intake I put a 90 degree elbow on and ran the heater hose to it. Works like a champ

I got them from a truck in the junkyard. But I think they are ebay 1 3/4 shorties

Where's the map sensor

I relocated it to the bracket that holds the ESC and EGR solenoids. You can see it if you look close enough

I strongly advise against the Trans Dapt adapters. Being only ¼" thick, there isn't enough thread engagement to reliably retain the throttle body. Vacuum leaks are a big issue with them. A thicker adapter will afford more thread engagement for a more reliable seal. Holley sells them, and they're aluminum rather than steel.
