Thank you for making these tutorial videos!! There are a lot of Strat gamers who tell me to read the rules and I have many times but they are not super easy to understand. This video clears the air for me on this topic!! I do have a few Q's to post but I'm all pumped up now watching this! Thanks TS!

I think I know what he's getting at, but around 28:40 Earle mentions that it doesn't matter if it's two (2) outs, but it does because if there are two (2) outs and the fly ball is caught, that's the third (3rd) out and the side is retired and nobody can score.

Thanks Earl. Roll On!!!!!!

At 32:40, it might make more sense to think of the runnner holding as D20 cutoff + 1 because as Earle's example shows, if 11 is rolled, Beltre would be safe; but adding +1 to that 11 would explain 12 - 19 as the runner holding...just a thought. ;o)

I still found this confusing to follow. Jumping around from basic to advanced makes it more so. Maybe start with only basic, then a separate advanced might be easier to follow. Also if you give a couple examples of each, and vary the locations of the on base runners at the time the hit is made. For example if there is only a runner at first, then what happens. What if there’s only a runner at second (no one at first) then what happens. I’m a total noob, and laying it out that way makes sense. Also with the example you made of a fast runner behind a slow runner, it makes sense that the lead runners value is used. Even though the faster runner is capable of more speed, he can’t run faster than the slow guy running a base ahead of him.

can you use stadium rules in adv game??
@azmendozafamily Жыл бұрын
In short, yes you can use them. In the 3rd paragraph of the introduction in the rules booklet it states "...familiarize yourself with the Basic Game first, then add as many Advanced or Super Advanced options as you wish..." Unless you are playing in a league, you can pick and choose your play style and rules set as you with. It's a game, keep it fun for you. I use the stadium effects, but not the weather effects, for example. The ADV/SADV rules are optional, it's not an "all or none" situation. I use the ballpark effects all the time without resorting to using the SADV fielding chart, for example.
