Your story was true. Israel abandoned the Lebanese Forces which was the Lebanese Resistance ( union of Christian militias) after the assassination of his leader Bachir Gemayel who was elected president because the following president refused to sign the peace treaty with Israel that was a promise of Bachir. When Israeli troups withdrew suddenly from the mountain without informing the Lebanese Forces, many massacres of Christians were made by the Druzes that were living in the same mountains and their villages completely destroyed. Here, Maryam is talking about the Southern Lebanese Army that was a part of Lebanese soldiers militia that was totally controlled by Israel.

Thank you so much for such a positive account of your personal story and your people’s I’m afraid there is a lot of people should know more about these undercover parts of history… Middle East is a complex thing … and the intertwined stories of these people … religion wise, political wise, ethnicity wise is overwhelming It would be necessary a big loving heart for humankind to be able to redraw the borders of those countries that are a fruit of post WWI and WWII after Ottoman Empire and European presence there to make it more complex. I remember when I learned about the beauty of Lebanon in the 70’s and 80’s … a variety of people living there with a beautiful balance of political power and respect… and then it collapsed… I bet very few people who are defending “Palestinian” cause know what is behind these lands … This interview is a moment of clarity in the darkness of information that is going around Thanks again and again for your god work ❤ Thanks also to Maryam for this testimony of courage and positivity (in spite all the hardness you and your people has suffered along your life(s)… God be always with you … you all 🙏

Praise God may Lebanon be free from extremists and Peace and be the beautiful country it was in the 1960's. I remember in secondary school when studying French reading in The Paris Match magazine how beautiful Lebanon was. I never got to go there to see it,although in my life visited many countries. Singapore managed to get some support from Isreal when she was in limbo, when she was removed from joining Malaysia. Singapore Defence Forces ( SDF )was helped by Isreal and has since developed into what she is today. I hope Christians can be independent again, with help from Isreal, and be salty again as Christian nation. May the Holy Spirit bring about the changes.

Thank you for showing this I am Lebanese Christian and my parents fled in the 70s when it was beginning thanks to terrorism we're actually from the baalbak area what does scum terrorists did to the Christians with horrible that's why a lot of Christians fled but you don't hear that in the media do you you have to remember Christian Lebanese don't have anything against Israel in fact my dad said when Israel had control of the South of Lebanon the country ran so much better. Iseral helped us Christians during the war. I actually want to study more on the jewish religion. God bless
