This is by FAR my favorite plane of all time. All modern jets are based on it's design in one form or another. Ignorant people like to claim the Allied jets of the time were just as advanced -- FALSE. Keep in mind the ME-262 was intended for one specific role -- to intercept incoming bomber formations, not for dogfighting enemy aircraft. The most beautiful jet to ever fly.....

In particular, the shots taken from the rear underside camera between 7'12" - 7'16" and 8'55" - 9'11" are so realistic, I'd challenge ANYONE who hadn't been previously informed that this was actually filmed from a model that it wasn't taken from the genuine plane ! *****

What is so obvious to me is how smooth it moves through the air as viewed by camera. It's like this ME 262 is just suspended in air and a back drop is being moved around in front of the cameras. Little to no vibrations. That's some serious engineering not to mention man hours. Really good job and thanks for putting this up.
@KevinSchmitt776 жыл бұрын
Really great piloting and an awesome aircraft! One recommendation would be to weather the paint job and make it "dirty" with wear marks and age (appropriate for the period). That would add to the realism and make it even harder to distinguish from real. Keep up the great work!

Tbobborap1 - I must say that is the best video production of RC flight I have ever had the privilege to watch. Installation of cameras giving the viewer multiple views of each maneuver combined with well thought out editing made viewing it an absolute joy. Of course superb airman ship by the pilot goes without saying. As someone else said - he sure knows how to land it, giving the viewer a beautiful demonstration of his skills. And what a beautiful example of craftsmanship in the building of this model of a wonderful piece of aviation technology of its day. But tell me, did you do all the work - building, flying and video production? Thank you so much for posting and for giving an old aviation enthusiast, and a former search and rescue pilot, a wonderful viewing experience. I absolutely LOVED the video and will definitely subscribe to your channel.

So that's where my Ken doll went... :-/ You should put a servo on Ken's head, so it moves around to face the inside of a turn (link it electrically to the turn ailerons), or even if you want to be crafty, randomly searches the sky ocassionaly. Unbelievable amazing things what men build. Damn sweet build.

I think few people appreciate how difficult flying an RC model can be, particularly such a large and powerful jet-powered beast like this one. A pilot who sits in his plane with his hands and feet on the controls and his butt in contact with the airframe through the padding of his seat gets subtle and not so subtle feedback which a natural pilot reacts to instinctively. An RC pilot can get a little wireless feedback through the joystick of the most advanced control systems, but it's not so timely or so precise as the tiny buffets one feels in the yoke or the rudder pedals that precede a stall. Mostly the RC pilot relies on his eyes, and all too often the feedback one sees comes too late.
@timonsolus5 жыл бұрын
Neal Scroggs : Must be harder than flying a real plane, actually (in terms of the purely mechanical movements of flying, not in terms of all the electronics in modern aircraft.)

Yes, your right on with all of that Neal, but as far as R/C/ flying goes, the bigger they are, the easier they are to fly. Talking from experience here.
