The most magnificent aircraft I've ever been in! I have been lucky in my earlier years in aviation to have flown or flown in 7 different Spartan Executives. My favorite was S/N 2 now residing in Oshkosh at the EAA Museum. Growing up around antique airplanes, I consider myself blessed to not only done many things involved in aviation but to have met and befriended hundreds of incredible people who I hold fondly in my heart still today. I hope both of these glorious examples of art deco design are maintained and cared for lovingly by their new owners in the UK🇬🇧! Cheers from across the pond!

@@tbobborap1 I use X_Plane flight simulator, and one of my favorite planes to fly is the Spartan 7W Executive. Such a terrific aircraft! And your video made it so much more real!

Barqwoof, Both aircraft are owned by a Englishman but are registered to a Delaware company,this allows them to maintain their original registration, there are many N reg aircraft in Europe. We started our display just as a thunderstorm moved past the airfield so not as close a formation as we'd have like but it was a touch rough up there!

I noticed the polished Spartan had one flap per wing, probably a plain flap or a split flap. The painted Spartan also had a flap below the fuselage. Would this actually provide lift or just create drag. Also the polished Spartan looked to have a continuous exit ring for cooling but the painted Spartan did not and must have had traditional cowl flaps underneath. Any info on this and other changes on the very limited production of Spartans?

They look so advanced compared to most planes from the 30s. Monoplane, all metal, retractable gear, and very streamlined. Its a shame they became a trailer company instead.
