I'm interested to see how you find My Brilliant Friend cuz I just picked up a copy from a book sale and am hesitant to read it cuz it seems like a big commitment starting a new series. What kind of writing style do you like? Any authors whose writing style is your favourite?

yes! I’m so excited for this one. I know a lot of people who’ve enjoyed it very much… I prefer more literary fiction books - ones that touch on deeper themes but not in an extremely descriptive way. my most favourite book is The Idiot by Elif Batuman.
