Organic break pads are best for this bike never run ceramic pads they are for race on track not roads. Cold rides organic grabs cold ceramics have to heat up before they work 100% My crotch rocket i only ran organic pads as a daily ride. 365 day a year they work best. 3 years riding every day rain or shine no car or truck . no fair weather rider here sitting in Texas sun leathers cooking your eggs aint nothing better love that diesel exhaust lol

Thanks so much Adam for the comment. I wonder if I can source organic pads for the bike given its a CHONDA clone.

@@totalnoobfishing1753 cycle gear is got just about anything from oil to tires and gear helmets too. Boots ect...... They should have them since your bike is newer look for parts number on pads or manual parts number and cross references it also by the break itself if need be.

Nice opening advert for ChinaRiders! How are you liking the TBR7? I’m seriously considering one over a more expensive Japanese option due to looking at one in person at a local dealership that was selling them. I was quite impressed.

Hey Dustin..thank you for the comments. If you are somewhat handy with a wrench ( can change \ tune a carb, change fork oil, change engine oil, turn a few nuts and bolts here and there ) this is a no brainer and a must buy. The quality of the bikes is drastically improving as the buyers market shifts to cheaper alternatives. Besides you just don't know how many parts on that Japanese bike are actually mass produced in China. My one complaint is the seat height and I am 5'10", its not terrible, but I prefer to be lower to the ground. If you buy the TBR7, you should immediately do 2 simple mods, change the main jet on the carb or buy a knock off from amazon for $25, point being you need to get to a 100 or above main jet, the stock 88 main jet is abysmal and will take the bike 10 mins to warm up with choke on in the summer. And you must get the 17 tooth front sprocket, it is a game changer. For $1,400+ push the go button my friend. Ride safe!

TotalNoobFishing awesome man. I greatly appreciate your input and advice and this is exactly what I’ll do when I get the bike. It just seems to be a no-brainer when compared to putting up $6100 for an brand new Yamaha XT250 with its 40% overinflated price tag.

What mods have you done to your TBR7? I just purchased one!
@totalnoobfishing17534 жыл бұрын
Hey Krunchy, welcome to the TaoTao family!!! I will list what I did, not sure if you would call it mods per se, however some of these are ABSOLUTE MUSTS if you want the bike to run better 1. Purchased a knockoff Mikuni carb from Amazon, you can follow Motocheez vids and mod the stock carb, but the key is you have to go up in Main Jet, it comes stock with 88, I went to 100 and lowered my needle by 1 washer. After I did this, the bike transformed and ran a thousand times better and didn't need to warm up for 10 mins before taking off choke. I don't even need choke anymore, though I might be a little rich based on plug inspection 2. The turn signal chirp is ridiculous, instead of clipping the speaker relay, I just stuffed a bunch of cotton into the speaker relay and wrapped it in duck tape, it still chirps, barely audible to others, but just faint enough to remind me its on if I forget. 3. Replaced the spark plug with NGK 4. Changed shipping oil immediately ( this should be step number 1 actually ) - I was told not to break the bike in on synthetic, so I run 10w 40 Valvoline Motorcycle oil ( I run 20w 50 in the summer since the engine gets hot ) 5. Loosen the chain, it ships hella tight 6. I swapped the front sprocket from 15 tooth to 17 tooth - another amazing change that will make your gearing longer, especially first. I didn't mess with the stock exhaust, its more headache and you don't gain that much in my opinion. Welcome you to email me offline ( email is my youtube handle with @gmail.com ) if you want to chat further or have any additional questions, lots of people helped me along so I want to pay it forward. Definitely subscribe to Motocheez Enjoy the bike, ride safe ...ATGATT
