I have a suggestion for something that you may be interested in: a fountain pen that works in a bible. I've been on the search for quite awhile (since I enjoy the effortlessly of fountain pens) and I finally came across one the other day that actually works: The Platinum Preppy Extra fine/02. It's dirt cheap, at $8 +$7 for a ink converter (so you don't have to use their proprietary ink cartridges), and it writes a line that's about .4mm on thin Bible paper. There is less bleed through on my CBP notetakers than with a pigma, and with better inks than I have, you could probably eliminate most bleed through and show through. It's worth a look if you enjoy fountain pens. Cheers!

Yes I do love fountain pens and would certainly look at checking these out thanks! I’m planning on doing another stationery video soon. I have done a couple already 😀👍

How is the binding of the TBS Comfort Text? For some hardback pew bibles (e.g. Holman KJV Pew), the binding, though it is sewn, is not as satisfactory. Is it the case for the TBS Comfort Text, too?

Seems fine to me!

What it is is, the Cameo and Turquoise (as well as the Emerald and possibly other blocks) were adjusted in 1985 so that in 1 John 5.8 they read "Spirit" instead of "spirit" and some people get all bent out of shape over that. Pre-1985 editions correspond to the "PCE of 1900" - in fact, I think the pre-1985 Cameo may have been the "platinum-iridium standard." I personally think it's a bunch of hokum.

Ah that makes sense now thank you for the knowledgeable insight. I’m with you on this one, but some people do ask me about PCE stuff...

Which is your favorite text only bible? CBP text only. Cambridge text only/emerald. TBS windsor etc etc .. I'm wanting to get a KJV text only but am having trouble deciding..

I do very much prefer a black letter

In terms of clarity and readability I’d have to say the Cambridge Large Print Text is my favourite but I am also a big fan of the Windsor, which has lovely dimensions. 👍 both of these are black letter as well 👌

Ok Thanks.. I've actually been thinking exactly of those 2 looking best for reading.. Thank you Burt

@@sylviafriessen9124 Sylvia, have you bought your text only KJV? What is your eventual choice, please?

Does this bible contain Pauline subscripts?

yes, this bible contains Pauline subscripts

Is this your favorite text bible? P.s. I know your favorite reference bible is Cameo. You have mentioned it many times.

It’s a good one but I think my fave would be the Windsor closely followed by the Large Print from Cambridge.

The TBS Bible is printed too close to the gutter for my liking. Maybe because it's a hardcover and doesn't open up completely? I also don't ever just read any of my Bibles. I always highlight, underline, and even write a few short notes in them. All of my Bibles are used for study too, so I have different "study" Bibles I use as short commentaries. Thank you for the review though. I'm sure that people who can't afford much would really love to have this.
