I'm going to try out the Crossfire 69 in my next build, I like the idea of having the VTx and Rx on the same 20x20 PCB, should fit nicely in the back of an Apex.

I must admit to being quite dubious about an RX and TX working nicely on a board that small, but it did really well, and the fact you can easily stick it in a 20mm stack is a big bonus!

Awesome video. You can configure port 1 or port 4 to act as a smart audio input on the Sixty9 and use the pads on the underside of the board.

Have you done this on the Tracer Sixty9 then, there's literally a paragraph in TBS's manual stating that you can't control the Sixty9 via SmartAudio (although a caveat saying that if you FC supports VTX commands via CRSF it can be done - which I think is a KISS thing) could be that the manual is out of date?

If it works on my Crossfire Sixty9 then it should work on the Tracer Sixty9.

That would be cool. The ELRS rx's have been stuck onto FC's, but never on a VTX. Great idea though!

Tracer support for elrs was being worked on. Not sure if its gone anywhere yet. But maybe some day you could flash elrs to the 69!

Looks like a CCD camera to me just by how the sun light looks, maybe Foxeer Arrow Pro Micro.

I didn't mention it, it's a RunCam Micro Swift (remember those) Good eye @Dav it is indeed a CCD - I've always been a fan of the picture they give

@@CurryKitten I can tell CCD because it does that vertical line with the sunlight, haven't noticed any of the current CMOS cameras do this. I'm also quite fond of CCD image quality too, still looks great.

What was the transmitter output power? I'm wondering how good will the receiver range be with only 1 antenna, I've got the nirvana radio so I'm limited to transmitting 100mw

It looks like you are actually flying the highest latency model. Thats what the 1:100 means. 1 being the highest latency output. Not sure why it would be doing that though if you were on dynamic power, it should start on the lowest latency mode, then switch to higher latency once the lq goes down a bit

As I mentioned in the video - the Tracer seems to just do 250Hz, so it doesn't have the 0/1/2 range that Crossfire does.... or, indeed the 1-7 range that ELRS does. Could I be wrong? Most definitely, I wanted to check out exactly what I would be seeing in the LQ and could find nothing about different data rates. If you can, the please let me know

@@CurryKitten oh thats interesting, I guess I just assumed it would have dynamic output power like most of the other popular choices. I guess tbs figures that they want to target it for racers, so why even give them the option to switch to a lower rate?
