About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. His twin sister doesn’t share his exceptional mind, but she has a much clearer vision of what life has in store for the young genius.

you are right, but you need to see further, every feelings had their own gestures, people are just masked it on a certain way, sometimes they aren't perfect and sometimes, people are not afraid to show it at all, and that's a powerful one

I genuinely feel bad for George Sr. in this scene. Every time Georgie pops off a firecracker, George's immediate flinch and sort of duck-and-cover instinct kicks in, as he likely gets an immediate PTSD rush from his experience in Vietnam. I have seen this in person, as at my workplace I am very close friends with a Vietnam Veteran, and every time a truck backfires, he will react in this same manner, and if a propeller-driven plane or crop-duster flies over, he will stand and eyeball it until it disappears over the horizon, in dead silence, he hates it when it pours rain too, as he commonly talks about the ungodly monsoons they get over there in Southeast Asia. But this show is a masterpiece, I like the attention to detail about the characters.

Sheldon had trouble identifying facial expressions in the emotional intelligence test, so she is actually doing something very well disguised as something very bad. It sometimes helps to win grandchildren over and support them in their development if you show to be unconditionally on their side, which is often by being in opposition with the parents 😂

As much as I really like this, didn't Sheldon in TBBT need to use a machine to figure out what emotion people were feeling? (Leonard and Penny) Yet here we are being shown that he can tell what expressions people are making. Sometimes I wonder if TBBT made Sheldon TOO DUMB for the sake of a joke. Whereas Young Sheldon tells jokes but also makes sure to develop character.

@Christopher Bingham I thinks its more about the fact that people that are now in colleges/uni's or approach their 30s (so the 90s and early 00s born) were raised on this myth of "dream job". That we can touch the stars etc. Its beautiful, but then reality kicks in. I've seen many people about my age who were passing opportunity of quite decent employment only because "its not their dream" or "because they are more than that". Jobs are quite easy to come by, question is, are you capable to adapt and go from the bottom. Lets be honest, only fraction of people will land the top jobs. Doesnt mean you shouldnt try. But sometimes its better to stand with something that is "good enough" for the moment. My example. Before uni i worked on a construction site. Learned how to handle power-tools, lay foundations, build scaffoldings etc. Then i went to uni and got my degree in history. During that i was working in retail. Didnt even have to, wanted to because i wanted to have some extra money. Got disillusioned by the uni carreer (didnt want to work in such weasly atmosphere). Got few oddjobs here and there. In free time learned a third language to a point that i can talk about most of the things in it. Finally a pal told me that there is an opening in IT dept. of a company where he works, and since im a computer nerd i should try. Nothing to loose. Went there and during the interview i've been asked how come a history graduate worked on construction site, retail, mechanics etc. -Because i wanted to. Got money, learned new things. -You worked in IT before? -Not profesionally. -Ok, but i see that you can learn new things quite fast, good references, you are hired. Boom, there it is. that was 4 years ago, and if it will go correctly, next year ill lead a team of people. Now, opposite of this are some of my friends, who got a degree and now they are waiting for this mythical "dream job" to come to them. People who now have 5-10 years employment gaps and rack up more and more uni courses, but never worked full time. No employment history. When you tell them "Hey, there is this and that job opening, pays quite nice, youll learn the skills within a month and we pay for that month full" you will hear "no". And many employers wont hire such person just on a degree basis, as they never worked in any enviroment. They have close to no experience with ie. people, or how to solve problems on the go. Most of those "highly specialised" people that i see in the company at the moment, land the job and then they cant do anything else. Sometimes even basic tasks that only require some wit and creativity. But there were no courses for this in uni im afraid. So they are being out-promoted by less specialised people that are capable of adapting and learning new things quicker. And they get bitter. Jobs are not that hard to come by. Question is, are you grown up enough to realise that sometimes you will have start from the scratch and get dirty.

@Christopher Bingham Also adding in it's a constant back and forth thing between wanting someone with education and someone with experience, and sometimes both at the same time. Hardly many wanna take a chance on the person with the education but no experience, even if they're willing and ready to learn - especially if it's something they're passionate about. It really feels like people don't have the patience or want to teach anymore

Why must you post this? Are you not getting the attention you need? You post this quite frequently and I'm worried about you. To say this kind of thing about a child actress is quite disturbing. Have you sought out professional help?
