I can't express how baffled I am that Trails in the Sky got a remake announcement and it was in a fucking sizzle reel. Like, thats how this was ANNOUNCED! We don't even get a deep dive! I want more information dammit!

I love the trails games to an unhealthy degree, but I have to admit they have relatively weak designs and aesthetic. A streamer didn't even recognise Joshua in the trailer despite having played the game.

Just to comment on the Tales of game with the mocap animation as a fan of the franchise. They were using mocap in at the very earliest Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World on the Wii for the cutscenes and Graces came the year after. I can admit it's a tad jarring with the earlier Tales of design, but it's come a long way and is less jarring in Zestiria, Berseria, and Arise. Mocap was certainly in the earlier games like DOTNW and such. So, yeah, that kind of animation was in the original.

Hey Skyen (or comment section), I'm sure you get this question a lot but I was wondering what program you are using when you start showing your video scripts at the 56 minute mark? I've been trying to find a new program to write my fanfics in but I'm really bad with writing it in order (adhd brain, am I right?) and this looks like a good fix. If you wouldn't mind sharing, I'd really appreciate it I'm very excited for those videos btw, especially a new beauty in splash arts vid, I love those.

It looks like it could be Notion, but there's a few programs with a similar structure to it.

I use an app called Obsidian (obsidian.md), which is not so much a "writing" app as it is a notes organizing app. It's got a LOT of functionality and organizes documents well, so I use it for scripts.

Out of all the Stardew valley derivative games, i gotta say my favorite is Graveyard keeper, quite charming. Like "imma harvest these bodies for necromancy and sell the meat, but also reunite the long lost brothers later today"

~22:00 - I've been watching Pizza Tower as a project since it's first or second appearance at SAGE. So to see them get this far... bravo. :3 ~34:30 - The only interesting thing about that game is that it has some sort of 'Mystic' variant on WereGarurumon in it and thought they could get the fuck away with it. XD ... You know, they haven't announced a Kirby game yet... If the Switch is on it's way out, there's gonna be a Kirby game. There's ALWAYS a Kirby game at least right before the hype of a new system. Kirby is their guy for that. Just like Mario is their 'shiny new launch game' guy.

~43:10 - Okay, Okay... I was about to bitch about farm sims, too, but it's Rune Factory, so... Eh, don't blame them. They need to keep their name in circulation, even if they've... flattened out as a series. :s ~45:20 - The Yakuza games... are FUCKING HUGE. Every single texture in the early ones here and in Shenmue, it's predecessor, is so compact, succinct, and crunched, you would not believe. It's like the team on this series looked at GTA and went '... do you one better...' And out this mess comes. So for it to translate to the Switch so well? I am not surprised. Art direction at Sega, as usual, the best thing they got going, nine times out of ten. I want to thank you again for sharing that obsidian. Because... relatability. As well as transparency. Refreshing, really. Saw a couple of YT peeps at least showing blurred out versions of their schedules and projects, and i appreciate that. Even if it's a fakeout, they at least understand... the position they're in. ^^;;;

~15:20 - I wouldn't play it, because I am sick and tired of seeing visual novels even in non-VN searches (thanks, Steam...), but this is brilliant. Modern VNs need to be made fun of.
