TBSS Get Two XS Power Batteries D3400

We went ahead and replaced the 1 year old red top optima battery with two d3400 xs batteries. This gets us super close to finishing up our sound system install. By the way Down4Sound is super fast with the orders. It took 2 days to get the batteries to our door!

How big is your system? Just curious. I’m about to install 2 batteries as well, but just wondering if that would be enough power. I’m running a HD10k Taramp@2ohms. Have a 390alt. Just wanna make sure it’s enough to handle it. If not probably gotta make a battery bank (lithium)

Do you have to charge the battery before installing it if it’s below 12.6 volts

They recommend to charge them just to make sure they are fully charged

We put the charger on them until it stops blinking

Did you have to purchase different battery post or those came with the xs3400? Jus wondering if any battery 6 post terminal plate will slip over the post and tighten good

We purchase the side post adaptors separate. The come with longer bolts so the terminals are secured

@OXC Films cool deal, those gold top post terminals came with the battery? Was looking to get some multi terminals like you have but wasn't sure if it's like 1 size fits all and it jus tightens to any battery post

We add them to the purchase. The 6 spot terminals should work with any battery that has the bolt style posts

I havent checked with a volt meter, our charger stops charging when its fully charged

@@OXCFilms Still resting at 12.6 7 years later after listening to music for about 30 mind. Not turned up by any means, but both amps were on and working. Just bought a second d3400 battery. I live in northeast US and my car is in direct sun and freezing Temps year round.

Im running a 3k just with a super start platinum agm battery alternator chargers at 15.3 but when bass hits sometimes it dropped to 14.1 or in the high 13s

@OXCFilms yea I think ima move the ground to the amp to the frame there's a spot on the driver side that ima run the wire threw

Did you use the tall post(586) or short post on top(580)? I seen on the site it recommendeds 580 post but it says tall post which the tall is 586. I was gonna use jus the top post not the sides like you have and put a 6 spot terminal like you have on top the battery. Thanks

We used the tall post but switched over to the short posts

You should be good with the short ones. For the terminals it all depends how many wires you are running to the terminals. Since we did the big 4 upgrade we went with the 6 spot ones and we have 1 or 2 spots left for accessories

Forsure bro anytime 🤙 We have ill customz and also gp car audio terminals. The ill customz look nice but the gp are thicker and seem more heavy duty

What size were those xs power copper top terminal posts? They make both a "short" and "tall" version of these.

The ones we used here were the tall 586 but we needed the short ones for more clearance. It depends on your application. With the tall ones the termals were close to the inside of the hood
