Held a desperate Gretzky to zero shots in game 5. Held a high powered offence to zero scoring chances in the last 30 minutes of the game. Roy was the deserved Conn Smythe winner but Demers had that whole team working their asses off

....and in '20-21 they went 6-1 in OT and were just 3 wins away from the Cup. Could only imagine they would have added a few more OTW had they went all the way...

I often wonder what would have happened had McSorley not been penalized for his illegal stick in game two. If LA hangs on to win game two, the Kings head back to California up 2-0? I think Gretzky & Co. would have closed the deal, but who knows? Montreal was a resilient team. With Patrick Roy between the pipes, anything was possible.

McSorley knew it was illegal. He was cheating. The Kings didn't win another playoff series for 21.seasons after this loss. T
