Great report thanks! Ihave the same model only 2015. I may be going with this kit.

Update after riding with this kit a couple thousand miles now. Everything works great, nothing has loosened up. But my left boot has silver all over the toe from the shifter peg. The peg doesn’t look like it’s deteriorating or anything but the finish is clearly rubbing off.

For the foot peg can you not put the frame in a vice to torque the bolt on the back to spec?

You might be able to. But it would be difficult to hold in the vice because there’s no part that is totally flat. You’d also be taking a guess about optimal positioning of the clevis that allows the footpeg to fold. It’s definitely easier to tighten when mounted to the bike, you just can’t get a torque wrench on it. But I’ve got a couple thousand miles on the bike now and nothing has loosened up.

How’s the actual feel when riding? I was considering this kit for my 2012 Harley 48.

Sorry, I didn’t see this comment earlier! I’m guessing you probably already made a decision. But to answer your question, to me, it feels like a much more natural position for my feet then the forward controls. But I grew up riding bikes that were made in the 1970s and 1980s and just about everything had mid controls in that era. To me, you have much better control over the motorcycle with your feet under you than out in front of you.
