I'm still using their Nova Delay in front of my Timeline for the digital readouts to get the stacked timing ratios exactly right... The 2290 would work even better... 😮

I use the nova modulator with great joy. Not the best algorithms out there. Especially nowadays but the dual engine en tap tempo features as well as the plethora of presets and customization in how and which you navigate are still unique in pedal design

I stack the Nova with my Nemesis Delay (Source Audio). Thinking of adding my Panther V1 instead of the Maxon AD-9 Pro for authentic BBD analog w/full features. Maybe slave a JHS Lucky Cat to the Panther! That's 4 mega days I think I need about another...12? ;)

They need to make more of these old rack units into pedals. Id love to have the yamaha fx500 or fx550 in a pedal……ignoring the fact that its a yamaha product…..i dont even know what other cool tc rack units were out there, im sure some epic ones

I bought and returned one. My problem wasn’t with the 2290P, it was with the absence of a real manual. Trying to guess where on some KZbin video it might be where they breeze over some particular feature just didn’t work. I like spending my free time playing guitar not trying to figure out a complex piece of gear with no support.

As with all the old rack units, what made them sound better is that the digital elements were minimal, just creating repeats and modulation. All the preamps, filtering, saturation, feedback circuit, etc were analog, and at high voltages for more headroom and responsiveness. So it’s not just purist mojo nonsense. Some builders are at least incorporating the analog elements- Catalinbread Belle Epoch Deluxe & Echorec, Eventide Rose. For the size of this they could’ve as well.

It sounds great, but then there are so many good DDs out there today. My favorite was one that had ducking delay, but I no longer have that one. My Source Audio doesn't do ducking delay :(

I was excited to see this but it isn’t clear to me that it improves on my Nova Delay. BPM in addition to millisecond timing? Reverse delay? Ping pong? Multi-tap? It does sound very good and I’m hoping it has analog dry through, but the feature set may not obviate my Nova Delay.
