TC Electronic G Major demonstration 1/2

TC Electronic's official video demonstrating G Major and G minor (midi pedal).
Note: I am not the author of this video nor do I own any copyrights of it. I just wanted to make the life easier for people willing to purchase a kick-ass multi-effect.
PS: It would be great if somebody posted a video reply showing capabilities of this processor. It haven't found any other decent demo of it. Thanks :)

Hey man, this is a great demo. All the features are first delineated, then demonstrated. Great! Other reviews are either all talk or all play. Yours is just enough talk to describe what's going on and enough tasteful playing to demonstrate the effects. Are you going direct to a mixer or using an amp, and what amp if so? And is this looped into the mixer/amp or serial before the input?

Been there, done that in 1986 it's called a Roland GP 8 ,around $100.00 in ebay nowadays , I expected way more from TC.

i have one of these , havent used it much because i dont find it to be very user friendly. I was going to sell it, maybe I will keep it longer and give it another try after watching your demo which was excellent-Thanks!

@Kulik0 Right... from the point of view of seeing everything that modifies or alter the sound signal as an effect, distorsion it's an effect... even the regular tone pot on the guitar.

@jesterraj Why would you use the Pod xt live and the G major together? the pod has all the effects plus distortions and stuff...I am not a big fan of the pod for live settings, i don't mind runing the pod in my fx loop of my amp and i would only use the effects like, delay, chorus, reverb. I think your confused about your gear bro.. and as far the send and retrun in the POD.your guitar input would be your RETURN and the Mono out (L) would be your SEND if you trying to set in the loop of your amp

Ye sort of, or just changing the preset. Been considering this unit for sometime, I want to be sure how the delay works. The multieffect I have, does the space sounds when I change from preset to preset even when the delay is exactly the same. So would be very nice if you can try some stuff and tell me when you get the space sounds :D.

Does anyone else have a problem with this thing coloring your guitar tone? It always sounds hollow when I run through it; even when all the effects are bypassed. When I turn it off, it sounds better. Does anyone know of a setting I might have to change?

Okay then... I have an egnater tourmaster 4100 and I want to buy g-major 2 for effects. Is it possible to use amp channels mixed with g-major 2 effects? If yes could you tell me if it will work like that Amp--->G-Major 2---> Midi Switching System like voodoo lab ground controll pro? Do I need anything else to make it work? Sorry I have no idea how it works and thanks for respond.

The Gmajor is a great unit but it does color the tone of Dr Z amps, it was as if a blanket was laid over my guitar. But with my 5150 and other high gain amps its great.

This can be used with voice also? how are the reverb , delay effects different in guitar processor from studio processors?

Can you run this through an amp with no effects loop? If so, is there any downside to doing that? I found a used one of these and wanted to buy it, but my amp has no FX loop so I wasn't sure if I should wait until I get a better amp.

I got one on the cheap, and it has great sounding effects. I have a couple issues with it though. The UI is unfriendly for quick tweaks, and there is a serious volume drop between on and bypass. Tried the global settings and can't get it at unity gain. Tried contacting TC Electronic and got no response.

Distortion shapes your personal tone (of course your clean sound define your tone as well) so in this type of rack system, you can choose your own distortion source either from your amp channel or from a stompbox. So with that being said, Find your own voice! peace man=)

This doesnt have any kind of drive. So unless you intend to use other drive pedals or amp drive, do not trade yours with this but I would definetely do it and use some extra pedals for my drive needs.

This is really ... sort of cheating - the guy is using piezo pickup and it sounds really great NOT because of the chorus he is demonstrating but because of the pickup - its known that piezo imitates acoustic.

i remeber when i was in US, i bought a g-major from Guitar Center Store, salesperson lied to me it has all guitar effects..finally when i played in Peru..no distortion. Be carefull on buy it......too complicated!!
