Hey Pat I bought a aluminum passive radiator 10" from Daton Audio they charged me $56 and I put it a dual box in place of a 10 and it came with washers that you added to it and that would help you tune it to any woofer it went with Model # DSA270-PR. If you want to see the one I got. Problem I have with it was I could have almost just bought another 10" sub for what it cost. Later!!!

Idk how much they weigh, but I was thinking a 2" mechanical pipe plug. It's a threaded plug for pipe, you can buy whatever size the VC is and this plug mimics the TC adjustable design.

Ive been toying with the idea of a large PR or a couple PR's paired to a couple 10w7's. I could potentially use smaller diameter PR's if they have a massive amount of throw.

You'd be surprised that your w7s don't move as much as you think and even with an 8-in spider the PR is move quite a bit almost 3 in peak to peak

I have an old school boston acoustics g5 12 setup with a PR that had different weights included for tuning. I know you had a terrible review on that sub, but it was impressive for 15+ years ago. Have you rebuilt any of those?

Id 3d print a plug for the coil with a hole in the center. Then tap it and run a bolt through then adhere all that into the PR. Could go further and do away with the coil and print something that clamps the cone from both sides. What size do you have?

@@drrckhamilton That's not really how that works because there'd actually be 3x peak frequencies. The one from the woofer, the one from the box and the one that is a sum of the two. It's always better to calculate or draw a duplication up in one of the box programs and see what it yields.

@@jaz97 No. It just depends on how big the box will be. Remember that the PR will only activate around the tuned frequency. You could use a single high excursion passive built on the Ti frame if you wanted. $200 shipped. I can see if I have any matching Sundown caps. Or you could just use a single 15" for $45 as seen here or two 12's. Personally, I think you'd only need a single 12" since the peak to peak excursion is like 2.5" but it's up to you.
