4:42 - In defense of Zajef, this IS bad placement of this very important information. Not necessarily because it's out of the way, but because it's not included with the Ley Line Disorder information. A reasonable player would assume that's the entirety of the special conditions for the fight, because that's where the special conditions are always listed. Considering the full monster list is shown prior to team select, it is significantly less likely that a player will even need to open the Monster List menu, which means any half-decent player will probably never see the warning about the rocks. This leads to the player being given a harder time through basically no fault of their own. Still, lmao excel impact players in charge of reading.

There's no reason to need to check the Monster List in the team select menu unless you happened to forget the lineup mid-teambuilding. I mean yeah, a lot of people just HAVE a healer, especially due to the popularity of Hyperbloom and Furina teams all having healers, but many teams for these events will run sub-optimal setups for better Vigor, and considering most of the enemies in these events are pushovers, it's easy to just not see the point in defensive units.

That's true, but at the same time it's what kept him as a good source of info throughout the years. A lot of streamers just tryhard to provide good info early on, but then they get an audience and gradually start posting clickbaity videos with lazy opinions, because it's easier. A lot of the audience isn't going to even realize the info is bad, or even care enough to quit. It's hard to lose an audience. Him being scared that viewership will drop is perhaps what makes him constantly try to improve.

I've been going back to Warframe and putting Genshin on the side recently and the environment for TCs are _drastically_ different. In the WF community, even the most casual player and non-TC content creator has some knowledge on how to optimize their characters, and each frame's weaknesses are mostly civilly discussed in an attempt to find what makes them click. Meanwhile I still remember when concerns regarding Cyno's long uptime potentially becoming his drawback was met with harsh response because most people thought 4-pc VV could be activated off-field. As someone who likes experimenting with builds and crunching numbers, going back to warframe genuinely feels like being at home, while being in the Genshin community you'd have people who'd start shit on TC circles who were just minding their own business.

The things that I like are simply not popular/niche, so there's not much fan content around them - I've made it my goal to create silly art, or memes, or just talking about it in general to fill in the creative gap. Couple of chatters sited Zajoof vid(it was for a rerun), I really don't remember for what reason, talking about Itto's problems or as a rotation example, something around that. So he pulls the vid up, watches for a bit, and then asks: why is Zajeff doing a wrong rotation? C0 Itto should do a different one. And shows it and explains why. Again, don't remember what it was exactly, not the point. What I do remember, is jstern asking: hey, in the footage, Zajef clearly does it wrongly on stream, so why did noone corrects him? Raiden's E doesn't work against Abyss mage and Lector shields and her particle generation takes a nose dive, Raiden is deadweight when she isn't doing DPS. Use Raiden against Hydro heralds with shields and u will not see a single electro charged or hyperbloom. Kuki's E is unconditional and will always hit the boss and generate particles.

Shall we do some quick maths? Kuki's skill activation(1U) + skill continuation(1U per 2.5s/3 hits for a total of 3U) + burst(1U) apply 6 units of electro over 12 seconds. Raiden's skill activation(1U) + burst initial hit(2U) + burst attacks(4N4D combo all 1U so 16U) apply 19 units of electro over 7 seconds. In the case of shield breaking, Raiden's elemental application is AT MINIMUM double(almost always triple) that of Kuki's while also taking nearly half the time. Conclusion? Well, I'll leave that to you. Surely you can put 2 and two together, you're so smart that you've very nicely cherry picked another niche scenario where (you thought) Kuki was better.

I don’t think this is why he was successful, and I also don’t think this is why he continues to be successful. Wasn’t he mostly successful purely out of the luck of being friends with Zy0x, and hasn’t he been openly honest and straightforward about this?? There were and have been several other theory crafters and guide-makers for years now. I think people continue to watch Zajef mostly because of his unique perspective

have you watched akashott's "genshin's first impact"? there was a section in that that emphasized how bad the guide video scene was back in the day, its rlly interesting to look back at it now from 2024 genshin tc standards LMAOOAOO people were putting crescent pike on xiangling (and so did i early game om) and i think zy0x might have given him more visibility from crediting him in his guides for his math (for weapon rankings, er requirements etc) but the reason zajef has a following imo is bc of his presentation of the game and its mechanics. he explains things well to people who want to learn more about the game and not just follow soft guidelines ("go this set, go this weapon, keep your er around this number"). slightly unintended consequence too but his channel is like a genshin meta archive for me because he has a clear chronological recording for how the meta changes/shifts with new units, new sets or weapon series, etc etc. in that sense, zajef would've made it on his own, but would've taken longer without zy0x giving him more visibility. and they're friends so there's no reason giving him a shoutout - as zajef tries to do for other TCs - is a problem. plus they're super fucking funny together LMAOOOO

zaj did quite well during dendro szn on his own and previously he also appeared in tc roundtable thingy which basically built his community. naturally people who enjoyed watching him tc-ing before would still do now even if they stop playing the game (speaking for myself but idc)

The problem with TGS is he comes from a whale perspective. He baselines signatures making it look like everything else is garbage. Shows too many paid weapon options as well.

"problem" its not a problem he just doesnt do the same content as zajef and thats good. Also weapons arent exclusively a whale thing, hardly anyone plays the game like zajef which is the biggest flaw of his content. Almost every player has that 1 character that they like more and will get cons and weapons for which will alter their account in such a big way from zajefs assumed f2p stats that you are almost always better off just doing your own thing.

Albedo cannot be buffed due to his Def scaling and cannot increase his own damage unlike Emilie who can benefit more from external buffs. She's more worth using given you have a pyro in the team than Albedo. I own both of them and I love Albedo but his only worth is on my mono Geo team.
