I love your bike accessories! Just purchased a Honda Goldwing F6B Deluxe 2016 in white matte finish. Only three colors to choose, royal blue, silver grey matte and white matte finish. I picked the white for better viability from drivers specially at night . Started doing stuff to my bike but it gets quite expensive as you continue. Love all the stuff you have put in your bike. It all looks very natural and well balance with great taste! Some bikes have been added stuff that makes that bike looks awful Yours just looks awesome. Love your videos, please keep them coming and little by little I will be able to catch up with you! Thanks for sharing and ride safely!.

For those who are curious about the orange warning light on the dash at the end of the video, that is not a warning light, but an ABS light. Every time the bike is started the light glows orange, indicating the ABS is functioning correctly. As soon as 10 km/hr is reached, the light goes off. All F6B's worldwide come with ABS, except those sold in the US. Very strange.

My air filter change video is in production as we speak. I started it today, as I put the bike away for the winter. A 2 hour job will turn into a 12 hour job because of the demands of setting up the tripod and camcorder for every part of the 21 step procedure. Hang in there.

Can you tell me about the Digital gear indicator nice bike by way also the speaker how much improvement over stock having to turn stock speaker to 30 to really hear them thanks Joe from Carthage USA
@tcalof7 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe. Healtech is the company that makes the Digital Gear indicator. Here's the link to the US distributor: shop.bluemonkeymotorsports.com/GIPro-DS-Series-for-Honda_p_20.html It attaches to the Data Link Connector under the seat, very easy to hook up. Regarding the speakers, the J&M's I have are a bit louder and a bit clearer than stock, but nothing remarkable. If you want a real difference, install Polk speakers with their own amp. If you need to crank your stereo to 30, you must be using a low or stock windscreen.

Nice job! I'm glad so many accessories are now available for the F6B. I am thinking about acquiring one but I recall the relatively high rpm's on my 1998 Wing in 5th gear at highway speeds- something like 3200 rpm's at 60 mph. I remember always trying to shift it up again, but that was it. This bike is described as having the same 5 speeds, the 5th referred to now as overdrive. What is your experience with the gearing on this model?
@tcalof8 жыл бұрын
At 60 mph actual speed my tach reads 2800 rpm. I am happy with the gearing. The engine isn't meant to be lugged down below 2000 rpm like a typical car engine.
@northerniltree8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. This must be the same ratios that I had before. I believe they could really use a true overdrive 6th gear. I really think 2800 rpm on this 1800 mill in final gear "should" put you in the 75 mph zone. I am considering replacing my BMW 1600 GTL, but this becomes an issue, at least with me. My 6-cylinder, 6 speed BMW will do just that, but I like the comfort aspect of the F6B. Hmmmmm........
@tcalof8 жыл бұрын
That's ironic. A friend just traded his '13 F6B on a '16 BMW 1600GTL. He wanted the sportiness and power of the Beemer, but he gave up storage and comfort in return. The nice thing about the F6B is that in 5th it has excellent roll-on passing power... no need to downshift.
@northerniltree8 жыл бұрын
Problem solved. My BMW dealer had a used 12K mile gloss black (uh-oh) 2013 model in stock with all the aftermarket stuff on it that was as clean as new, but only wanted ten grand. So, I bought it, and now I can decide over the summer which one is best for me. Should be interesting.
@tcalof8 жыл бұрын
Just don't drive the F6B like a sport bike. My friend went through 2, not 1, but 2 transmissions on his F6B. He liked to speed shift! Thank goodness for him it was under warranty.

Awesome! Thank you! I just bought a F6B just like yours, same year and model. I have studied what to put in the bike for the last two months, and I think that I would be happy with the same package that you have. Thank you!

You're welcome. A couple of changes I've made since the video: I no longer have the Fenda Extenda on the front fender. I cut it off with a handheld coping saw. There was not enough clearance between the fender and tire, and small rocks and debris would get stuck in the gap. Also, I have the newest version of Rivco Aeropegs with the small tabs on the bottom for easy opening and closing, as well as their cut through the middle of the peg near the hinge for safety. If the bike should fall over on the open aeropeg, it will now snap off instead of shearing off the cylinder head cover. The bikemp3 lower fog lights are gone, replaced by Pathfinder LED switchback fogs. The Pathfinder are MUCH better constructed. The bike mp3, no longer manufactured, were crap.

Wanting to remove the stick on Honda emblems from front and tour box. Are there pins or they just stick on. Thanks
@tcalof8 жыл бұрын
They are on with adhesive. Dental floss or mono fishing line works well to "saw" them off. Then some Goo-Gone or WD-40 to take off the adhesive worked for me.

Lights and the law.... First, thanks for all these videos. As a 2016 F6B owner, they have been great help. I wonder if you had any thoughts on the number of headlights you have installed. In Ontario, the Transportation laws say you cannot have any more than 4 headlights turned on at any one time. Hence, why the relay needs to shut down the fog lights, when the hi-beams are turned on. I understand this legislation to vehicle lighting is consistent across most jurisdictions in Canada and the USA. the legislation here does not talk directly about fog lights, but defines headlights in general. It appears that you have installed these lights so that you can ride with the upper driving lights, the low beams and the fog lights all on at the same time. I assume, you are planning the same for the hi beams (hi-beams, lo-beams and driving light all turned on at the same time) Have you had any problems with this and a friendly officer questioning this light scheme? I ask as I am considering the driving lights mounted hi below the mirrors as you have, but wonder if I will be hassled to use them. Or should I simply install hi-beam LEDs. The truth of the matter, long empty roads up in northern Ontario (and Manitoba), who is going to see them anyway? Only the Deer and Moose! All this said, I would push the envelope of the law, in order to attain greater visibility. Your F6B is well set up. Thanks for sharing. Thoughts?
@tcalof6 жыл бұрын
I'm in Manitoba. I always ride with low beams, DRL in the fogs, and auxiliary driving lights on the lowest (10%) setting during daylight hours. I have passed numerous LEO's, both municipal and RCMP, and never once have I been stopped. Because the lights are not blinding, I assume they have no problem with a motorcycle being highly visible. At night, I turn off the auxiliary driving lights altogether, as even at 10%, they would be annoying. At night it's the low beams and DRL fogs. When I'm on the dark highway, then I can light everything up, and it really does. My fogs are wired to turn off when my high beams come on. I don't want to push my luck!
@donryan3836 жыл бұрын
thanks.... Rational thought from the Leo's are the norm... unless you are doing something (on the edge of reasonable behaviour) that draws attention. I'm thinking of following your configuration. Thanks for the video and the reply.

Corrections: In the video I mentioned my Madstad windscreen was the 11" version for my 6'2" height.That is incorrect. I have the 13" version with the medium gray shield. Also, for some reason youtube inserted a title at the beginning that this video was shot on a Garmin VIRB. That is not the case. It was shot on a Canon Vixia HFR600 and edited using Garmin's VIRB Edit software.

The tips don't do anything to the exhaust sound IMHO. They just slip over the ends of the mufflers. The mufflers determine the exhaust sound.

Very nice bike. However not sure I'm a fan of the square upper lights. I would go with something more OEM looking and lower mounted. Looks like the bike could have used a wash n wax before presenting it to the world.

That's funny. You obviously don't own a gloss black F6B. The paint is the softest in the business. I had just washed and polished the bike with Liquid Glass. And I wasn't looking for critiquing and judging my bike. This is about accessories for F6B and Goldwing owners. Oh well. I'll leave your comment up, for now.

You can get rid of the drone by first removing the cat converters and crossover pipe, then installing a set of Torq Loopz. After the Torq Loopz arena, then install any aftermarket muffler you want, and it will not drone.
