TCC Titans vs. Lower Columbia | NWAC West Region Rivalry

The Red Devils opened Region play by traveling to Tacoma and holding off the Titans for a 70-66 victory. Lower Columbia guards Kobe Parlin and Keshawn Lewis each had 13 points to lead the team in scoring. Malik Brown added 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench.
The Red Devils overcame a slow start in which the team trailed by as many as seven points before claiming a 35-29 lead at halftime.
Lewis capped a 20-6 run over the span of 7 minutes with a 3-point basket which catapulted LCC into a 29-22 lead. Tacoma answered with a 6-0 run of its own to climb back to within one point, trailing 29-28 with 2:16 to play in the first half.
Leading by as many as 14 points in the second half, Tacoma fought back. The Titans closed the gap to two points with 9:49 to play and then claimed a 52-51 lead when KeVaughn Harvey connected from beyond the arc at the 9:03 mark.
The two teams battled over the next nine minutes with neither side holding a lead of more than two possessions. Carter McCoy broke a 62-62 tie with 3 minutes to play with a field goal to give the Red Devils the lead for good, 64-62.
Marc Eyman led Tacoma with 17 points on 5 for 8 shooting from the field. Harvey had 13 points and five steals.

Titan Basketball Program had a short program commemorating long-time Titan Basketball announcer Vance Dawson, who passed unexpectedly last April at the age of 57.
