Omar drew extra off of iono and tried to hide it back in the deck. Head judge asked him if he saw an extra card, the guy said no, but they rolled back the footage and saw that he obviously saw it. He got a warning earlier apparently for the same thing, which is why he got DQ'd. Source is some of my buds in San Antonio right now who heard from the judge.

Looks like he drew 5 cards of Iono when only supposed to draw 4. DragoV and nest ball went to bottom, and drew Drago vstar, boss, grass energy, counter catcher and Eswitch. Put Eswitch back on top of deck and continued his turn.

@@ArsenalHail8688untrue. 1st off, I had no warnings all day. 2nd, I was desperately digging for the energy switch to retreat, if I did see the 5th card, I would’ve just teal danced to draw it after the iono, you can see the grass is the 3rd card I drew. 3rd, you can see my deck is very thin when the accidental draw happens, the iono slides onto the top of the deck, and cards start slipping on the table. The judges never offered to fix the board state, they just escalated all the way to a DQ, which was baffling cause Nicholas Moffitt was a worse offender on day 2 after drawing an extra card and shuffling it, yet only got a DPL. Pokémon really plays its favorites.

You made another move instead of calling the judge immediately when you realized, and you adjusted your deck. It's not necessarily about seeing or not seeing the extra card, it's about not stopping play as soon as you realized.

from the guy below. it was a dq because this wasnt the first time and already had a warning for this same issue. first time they would have just put it back in and shuffled and gave a warning

⁠@@preemptivefaceplant5277hey, I had no warning’s or any penalties all day. I had no chance to argue my case to the judges, they claimed I lied about seeing the 5th card, which I didn’t. After looking back at the footage, I see the 5th card was an Energy Switch, which was the card I was desperately digging for. If I actually saw the card, and had intention to cheat, I would’ve just Teal Danced to draw it, knowing it was the next card. Instead I held the energy in hand, played counter catcher in hopes to stall a bit, which wasn’t even gonna work. I was a minute away from scooping if my opponent just showed me Boss. Honestly should’ve scooped earlier. What’s absolutely insane, is that on Day 2, Nicholas Moffit drew an extra card off Iono as well and only got a DPL, especially after shuffling the hand. But I get handed a DQ with no chance to appeal.

The card I was digging for was Energy Switch, if I actually saw it, I would’ve just Teal Danced to draw it. But I decided to hold the energy instead and passed turn. I was in a terrible losing position regardless, I should’ve scooped way earlier.

@@lucafrias5071if I knew what I’d draw, I would’ve just teal danced to grab it. Energy switch was the card I was digging for. I didn’t see it, I was looking at my deck. You can see the iono spin to the top of the deck after the 3rd draw, which messed up my drawing.

@@lucafrias5071no I wouldn’t, I was desperately looking for Energy Switch. If I knew what it was, I would’ve just used Teal Dance to attach grass and draw an extra card. But I didn’t see it, so I just counter catchered and I passed.
