@@2005smtyJ It is kinda wild that there are 45 mons with intimidate, 28 of which are fully evolved or good with eviolite, and because of Incin basically none of them see play. The only alternatives are Arcanine-H and Lando if you need an offensive intimidator, and maybe Gyarados if you can't fit another fire type. It's very sad. Also Scrafty is my favourite Pokemon, so I'm admittedly annoyed that they keep giving Incin every possible tool and leaving other Intimidators out to dry.

Wolfie really bringing home that he is a true unovian/american pokemon trainer having a full team of 6 unovian pokemon (scrafty, thundorus, landorus T, amoonguss, conkeldurr, gothitelle) that has won him tournaments at least 3 times, then an additional 8 more. Man, I feel like these videos have really changed the landscape of competitive Pokemon in a very positive way. Before, I feel like singles Smogon was what everyone was talking about, thinking fans having control would lead to a better system (plus they match the story mode, making them feel more natural to most people). And I think these videos have informed me and a lot of others that VGC really is the better format with more options. I think you’re playing a major role in competitive Pokemon getting more popular, so I wanted to say thanks. And keep that artist that makes your thumbnails; they do such a great job

@@erierierierierie I think fans have a problem of wanting the game to be something it’s not. Competitive Pokemon isn’t balanced around singles, so it’s natural it has way more kinks. Ok so what I've learned about good team-building from this video: -Unless it's Will-O-Wisp (and maybe Draco Meteor), don't use moves that miss -Try to have as few overlapping types possible - even in something like rain -Use the item and EVs that work best for your team, not just whatever is most common (i.e. offensive Cresselia)

I started playing VGC back in 2015 and I definitely remembered both of your tournament-winning teams from that year as inspiration for some of the weird stuff that I tried later on. It's really cool to hear the logic that went into those teams and why you picked the mons you had. It's also a little funny looking at some of these teams in hindsight wondering if they would have been nearly as successful if OTS was part of the ruleset back then.

Absolutely absolutely love this style of content, looking at old VGC content from the eyes of someone who's actively been there throughout the years gives a level of insight that's really entertaining and interesting as a viewer. Maneuvering the landscape of old pokemon with limited legal dexes and wrestling with old mechanics that thanksfully got fixed will always contribute value to the VGC scene, especially as the years go by and more people join the community who've never experienced competitive pokemon pre-gen IX (or later when we get there :3) It kind of reminds me of one time I had sat next to Wolfe at (i think?) Charlotte Regionals where round 1 start got super held up, and I was tuning in to Wolfe and his opponent talking about how janky old gen V sleep mechanics were. Learning how far we've come is S/V from old gen V where you could get unlucky and roll a 3 turn sleep with nothing you can do is fun to learn in retrospect and gives so much more appreciation for how far the game has come :3 commenting something nice in case it actually gets seen and more stuff like this gets made because it's so peak love ya wolfey :3

OMG! I'm actually so happy you used reuniclus! Solosis and its whole evolution line are my all time favourite pokemon but they aren't the best pokemon so no one ever uses them, half the time people dont even know what pokemon I'm talking about when I say their names.

i dont know my input is the most valuable because i would watch anything thats put up on this channel but i think it would be really cool if you did a video breaking down all the intricacies if your favorite teams from the past (not just from you from everyone) or a break down of some metas you really liked

My favourite pokemon you’ve won a tournament with, and my favourite pokemon in general since I was a kid, is Venusaur 🙂 When X/Y came out on 3DS and I was playing through it, I couldn’t believe they gave it another evolution with mega stones. That was a highlight in my pokemon journey growing up! Glad you were able to use it to win!!

I really enjoyed this video! Some of my favourite parts of your videos are you explaining the teams that you use, seeing the synergies that you build, it's great seeing a skilled player break down WHY a team is good. I'd love to see more content like this if you enjoyed making it

@@dingola_ but that's like a game changer bro, also I've never played base sun and moon i only got ultra but still I've been a pokemon fan for most my life and its insane to me how I've never heard mention of this, also I've never looked into it bc usually every new pokemon game removes its previous gimmick and adds a new one. well... except lets go.

My favorite part of your videos are the in depth talking about your teams and the rôle/niche plays each pokemon was supposed to fill : what can you do with them and why did you chose them in this team, so i'm always eating well with theses kind of videos
