Concert exceptionnel !

ONE OF THE GREATEST PERFORMANCES BY ONE OF THE GREATEST EVER CLASSICAL PIANISTS !!!
@ric555 жыл бұрын
I am delighted to find yet more recitals by Gilels. One of the greatest pianists ever, in my opinion. One should not forget the wonderful contribution from the ORTF orchestra. And especially the contribution of Andre Cluytens. His recordings from Bayreuth Festivals are matchless. Both these great musicians sadly passed away well before their time.

I love this recording- Gilels and the conductor are in perfect sync- What passion, what virtuosity, Every gesture serves the music non of the annoying affected movements and grimacing of many of today's performances- A truly great brillant artist!!!!!!

Wonderful version. Warm and committed. Gilels is great in this concerto. Even better than Richter who is a little external and cold.

Gilels is my favourite pianist; for the soul and feelings he is able to infuse into his music, his sheer technical excellence aside. Somehow his playing seems so right.

There's just something about the way this guy plays that's so passionate, so fluid, and a lot of the other players i've seen are technically perfect but they lack this passion, and their idea of letting lose is a kind of a controlled delay in some of the notes or sections that I can't tolerate, but I can tolerate mistakes from mis-hit notes here and there if the result is this

when Gelil plays just like Evgeny Kissin has a profound impact to the listener in any way such as clarity of every note dynamics.expression the passion I just don't have words to describe their performance I enjoy every bit of it.
@VekslerAcademy6 жыл бұрын
His name is Emil Gilels. While I like Kisin and consider him as a genius in every way, he can't stay in the same row with Gilels. I am sure Kisin would agree with me since I saw him talking about maestro. I totally agree though that the effect of his playing on listeners is hard to describe and it hos interprettion goes just to the listener's soul.

Kissin over-rated! Kissin colorless ice cold piano sound! Todays pianists are boring with cold colorless piano sound like Kissin Zimerman Hamelin Trifonov Yuja Wang Buniatishvili! Old folks the beautiful colorful piano sound like Wilhelm Kempff Emil Gilels Artur Rubinstein Radu Lupu Vladimir Ashkenazy! The beautiful sound players are all dead!

Outstanding performance, as one would expect from the likes of Gilels and Cluytens. But that camera work and that editing! Hilariously inept, even for those very early days of filmed concerts. However exciting to listen to, this is almost unwatchable.

Gilels showed the best interpretation. But Horowitz doesn't seem to be human. Richter is the best pianist, but it's a pity that Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 is not enough to belong to the same level as gilels and horowitz.

I've only got one Complaint to Make about the Performance its to Quite at the Opening and I'm Surprised anyone can actually can hear anything from the Orchestra,and it carn't beat the Historical Recordings from 1941 and 1943 with Vladimir Horowits and the NBC Symphony Orchestra Conducted by Arturo Toscanini on CSLP-505 And LM-2319 and CSLP-505 is the best one Recorded under licence by His Master's Voice in 1956 in the Golden Treasury of Immortal Performances:and this Performance is to fast where the Orchestra is Concerned and sounds as though the artists carn't wait to get home where'as on the two Vladimir Horowits and Arturo Toscanini Recording with the NBC Symphony they are Playing at the Correct Tempo and if anyone has still got a Turn table I would Strongly Reckonmend His Master's Voice CSLP-505 to anyone
