Amy Dunne ohhh lovely! You know what? The real and original Bolero was made on a "tempo" more faster...(You can take a look on a Karajan version), but Dudamel preffers do his version more slowly, because he is a great fan of master Sergiu Celibidache, who had a great zen philosophy about classical mussic. Celibidache and Dudamel Bolero are the most fascinating and emotional things in the world. Others versions are more faster and cold!

Que no se ha dicho de Gustavo Dudamel que no se haya dicho yá. Pero es que en cada presentación demuestra siempre su perfección al dirigir las mas complicadas obras musicales hasta las mas sencillas y siempre el resultado final la calificación es de excelente a maravillosa, Dudamel es como un orfebre que vá tallando en cada presentación una "Joya" musical que deslumbra a un público muy exigente, y siempre es y será así.

Dudamel was director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at this time and the first horn, Andrew Bain, is also from the LA Phil. I wonder if this German meetup was happy coincidence (as professional players often swap orchestras during the summer), or does Dudamel ask for certain players to come with him when he substitutes?
