This just makes me think of a "modern retelling of Dracula", wich takes place in modern times and has nothing to do with the book, other than there is a guy named Dracula, and he is actually the hero of the story, he is played by a young attractive actor who is in love with a bland woman.... Oh and in that version there is probably a war with werewolves.
