Here's a tutorial on one of my favorite pieces for beginners. I love teaching this piece, as it requires the student to explore great variety with expression, voicing, and dynamics. I hope you enjoy it, and wish you all the best for another great week of practicing!

Great lesson Josh!, never look down on those "for children" albums (many composers have created something like this) , they contain miniature pieces that can be used to practice and master advanced techniques.

Awesome. This was the first piece I played with my current teacher when I started studying with him 4 years ago.

You have a beautiful tone, Josh. Edit: Professionals watch this to get inspiration for their teaching and playing. A lot of aspects in this piece like phrasing, tone or pedalling apply to all kind of piano music.

Great video Josh! :) I really have to say that I enjoy your videos so much that I'm always flipping when I see the notification for one of your videos. Do you also cover subscriber questions in your videos? I know that you covered practice schedules and dividing up the time etc in your videos. However, I was wondering if you also have some advice on how to approach learning/studying multiple instruments and multiple genres at the same time. How would you structure your time there? All the best and please keep up the good work :) Lukas

Hey, Josh. Great lesson and truly beautiful set of pieces. Have you considered making tutorials for Tchaikovsky's Seasons? Maybe April? :)

Hello ! Maybe somebody could help me and explains to me if I need to use the pedal in this music, and in this case, when I have to use it ? thanks !

Paul Badura Skoda recorded this. Good music - and probably it will pave the way to Schumanns music, which is NOT easy!
