the more you listen to Tchavolo you understand why Angelo, Stochelo, Birelì & others consider him the greatest manouche guitarist, the swing manouche, although Tchavolo himself says it's not true. FANTASTIC. When I listen to his music I can hear Dixie, rag-time,blues, and so much more !

Exactly. Tchavolo may not be the most polished gypsy jazz guitarist, but, to me, that's a feature, not a bug.
