Only just learned of Caroline's passing. So sad. She and Jemaur lived in the bedsit next door to mine in Maida Vale in 1982-83. A lovely, quiet couple.

I got an urge to listen to them about a month ago. Maybe because I was in England and visiting ancient sites and I was on a Virginia Astely/Dead Can Dance/Cocteau Twins jag, so how could I not think of Shelleyan Orphan. Have been torn up all day hearing about Caroline's passing. Their final album was beautiful.

I video'd their show at the Players Theatre, June 1987, and watched it from time to time for some years. I wonder if I still have that video. They were fantastic.

I saw them at the Manchester Cathedral too, with Durutti Column, bought their first two lps, and have since seen Durutti Column again. Have a love hate relationship with my wife about Vini Reilly, she obviously hates Vini Reilly, whilst i have immpecable taste!!!!
