Great vid, THX !!!! In some cases (such as my TCM) the rear pin can be left in place allowing work to be completed without removal of cylinder and fighting it out on a workbench. If not able to leave in place, loosening all pertaining threaded connections (spanner nut, allen set screw etc) before removal will help tremendously. As far as purchasing a lot of tools, many local parts stores rent the tools needed (slide hammer and such) basically free for instance O'Reilly's allows a purchase offering a complete refund if returned within 48 hours. Also If the pins are just too difficult to hammer out, a little torch heat goes a long way but spraying with a good penetrant a day or so ahead of work will also make life easier.

I would for sure invest in building a work bench

or at least place the part being hit over the corner leg area so you don't have as much rebound.

A sturdy work bench seems a good investment.

First time working on a hydraulic system and this gave me a pretty good idea of what to do. Made doing my tikt cylinder a lot less of a head ache. For the sliding holders I would recommend putting some grease of some kind before hammering it in. Allowed to litterally slide mine in and turn it no problem. Thank you!

When you reinstall the cylinder, does the air bleed automatically? Ps: thanks for your video, very interesting

you will need to tilt the cylinder back and forth a few times to get the air out and then it will work fine

I installed back the cylinders and connected the lines back but now none of the lift controls work ? Is there a main valve where you can bleed out the air ?
