As someone who isn’t great at online smash, it’s nice to see I’m pretty good at something compared to a great player. I’ve gotten 9.9 with 6 characters; it’s so hard lol. You need to average an increase of 0.7 after each round, so just practice a bunch!

Stuff that I learned from grinding out classic mode with every character: -you can’t get to 9.9 after using a respawn, the game will auto cap you at 9.8 -you CAN however, get to 9.9 before using a ticket (with a really good first 5-6 rounds). If you use a ticket after this, you will still retain 9.9 -it’s possible (and more fun imo) to do the final part of the bonus round without the cannon

That's how I got to 9.9 as Falco. He's not even my main; I simply did phenomenally with him prior to my fights with Master and Crazy Hand, and I had a ticket or two to spare.

I'm happy for you^^ Don't know if you figured it out yet, so here are some tips to help you getting 9.9 more easy: _ Kill your Enemy as fast as possible, the more enemys you have the more generous the Time limit becomes. - Try to get as few damage in relation to your opponent as possible. This counts especially for HP-Battles. - Play more casually and learn how to react on Stages with Hazards on. Use them to your advantage. - Play more often with Items on and watch how the CPU uses them. So you can forecast what they are (probably) about to do. If a Hammer appears for example, the CPU will always go for it. So make sure it gets the Hammer at the Edge of a Stage (if possible) and let it grab it. A small "push" will garanty your Victory. Use a Hammer only if you are sure you can kill the CPU immediately! Remember: You'll not be able to use other moves and hit everything in your way. If a Bob-Omb or some other Explosives appear suddenly in your way, it's bye-bye! - Practice the Bosses at highest Difficulty so you know what will be waiting for you when you reach them at the end of the Classic Mode. That's all I could list so far. I hope thes will be useful to you and everyone who struggles with reaching the 9.9. Greetingsd from Germany and keep Smashing! ;)

Another thing is that continues when you are below 9.9 will make it so you get 9.8 and 9.8 only, if at 9.9, using a ticket will still keep the intensity. (as it does) Also, the easiest one to do classic mode with is Krool imo.

All Elite players play the same, just learn to read any of them and you have the download for the next 80. I can safely say my Ryu, Bayonetta, and Belmonts don't deserve to be in Elite, and yet I have them all in Elite. Meanwhile, the characters that can actually win tournaments that I use offline, like my Joker, my Pokemon Trainer, my ROB, all took forever to get in.

Shulk's classic mode is literally a reference to its title's namesake, “This is the Monado's power!” Falco is Jump, Sonic is Speed, K. Rool is shield, Cloud is Buster, and Little Mac is Smash. Megaman is likely meant to be representing the nature of the monado changing in smash, or meant to represent a mechon.

When the final stage is one character, if no special characteristics (like being big or metal), there is a second character that will spawn in. In case of Bowser, you fight Mario, then Metal Mario.

I can tell you from experience Wolf's is EXTREMELY easy, all light characters, I don't recall what the boss, but it's just overall really easy. Everyone is your prey, and that's all you need. And I have now realized he does attempt that one.
