It's kind of ironic, true, but one has to consider the sheer difference in price and market segment between the D500 and the 5DIV. Canon lost a big opportunity there to repeat the 5DII success story.

So many great cameras this year and meanwhile I'm sitting here, still choosing between Olympus OMD- 10 Mark II, Panasonic GX85 and Nikon D5500 for over 6 months... Choosing very first camera is surprisingly hard :D BTW, awesome video as always, guys. You're the best!

Not sure on the 5D4 dishonourable mention. As Jordan said in the 5d4 review this is not a video camera, so including it in a video segment seemed cheap. Still, despite the continued canon bashing, this is by far one of my favourite segments of the year and you guys are by far my favourite photo review channel. Speaking as a Pentax owner,.... yeah, fair call on the video performance - we've been trying to get Sensor Shift switched back on in video since they turned it off for the K-01. The HDMI is equally as bad - the 645z with recordable Clean Feed HDMI would have been amazing in the era of ProRes recorders.

lol, there was actually popcorn over there too. xD Expected maybe the E-M1 Mark II. Maybe GX80/G80. Olympus PRO 25mm. Leica 12mm. But nope! Guess I lean quite a bit towards M43. I like the X-T2, but what really ruins it for me is the lack of a frontfacing touchscreen & sensor stabilization. Also, the native support isn't as great/flexible as let's say Sony and M43. The Sony A6xxx-range is too dodgy for my taste. Don't want to deal with those heat issues, the rolling shutter, the iffy colors, the almost non-existing APS-C line-up, the implementation of an articulated touchscreen, etc. That just doesn't cut it for me. Would love something like the Nikon D5600 if it were mirrorless and did 4K, but you know... so, I'm back in the M43 corner. Which is not terrible, but that APS-C/S35 sensor performance what I'm concerned is where it's at. We'll just have to see what 2017 brings. (^^,) Cheers guys! I'm a nature girl vlogger. For me my best point and shoot of the year goes to Canon powershot sx710hs. I love the long 30x zoom because it keeps me far enough from the predators I've come across AND the mic is really great. I've gotten it pretty drenched in the rainforests, put it at risk to swim to the base of a waterfall to get the video and I'm super happy with it. I do have my eye on other cameras but so far I haven't come across any camera that can stand up to my needs. Weight and maneuverability on cliffs is a huge thought. I'd love to go G85 but can anyone really keep up with Canon's stabilization? I tested the Sony A6300 and it showed me just how shaky and jolting my adventures get.

'Rolling about the MD haha ... was it in fact the best Camera of 2016??! I think so. Our spoiled friend owned the MD and some of my favorite photos of his came off that sensor. He sold it. I guess some gaffers tape and shooting in RAW on an M262 could get you close to the MD experience technically. Another wonderful video and amazing shout-out guys! Can't wait for Feb 2017!
