If you are wondering…. It is worth every penny. Buy with a Ulticlip 3.3 Slim Do NOT buy the “Silver” one, they don’t grind the edges correctly on them. The “Black”and “Green” ones are excellent but do to the lack of contrast in edge to blade on the silver ones they have been ground incorrectly on each one I’ve gotten.

I got this exact knife but ordered mine like 7 months ago. I knoticed mine has more of a "tip" on it, like it's a lil longer. I wonder if the more current version they shortened it up for "tip strength"? Maby?

Interesting, and I will have to look into older models now 👍💯

This is the copy of the REFT x Bastinelli version of it. Which is probably the original one.

I’m just DYING to sharpen these cheap Canku clones to see how a FRESHLY SHARPENED blade does… maybe YOU should too?
@Tctbnl3 жыл бұрын
Nope, not my responsibility to correct factory defects. People like “out of the box tests”. So if your DYING to sharpen one have at it. Thanks for watching and have a awesome day

So how is the steel & heat treat on these? Surely someone has used theirs enough to actually see how it's edge holding is after a few sharpenings. not looking for a user, but rather some self-defense knives for my wife & kids to use with their MMA skills, and for my wife to create distance if she needs to get to her pistol. If you are not familiar with Shivworks & Craig Douglas especially his ECQC training you should. Hard2hurt also shows the usefulness of a very similar knife called the MDV by Skallywag knives. I think I will cut the ring open as I have big hands & the chinese rings are always tiny, and the handle also looks short. Cutting the ring open will also improve how quickly & easily it can be deployed.

Great choice for a “get back blade”.

How thick is it? I think it would actually a good in self defense.

I ordered this one and the one made in Italy off of Amazon but this one I didn't order in Black I ordered the satin the other one made in Italy I ordered I think it only had it in Black but the one is like that NG06 Bholer still and it's like a hundred and $30 and it's a really short scalpel it's not as long as this one I think this one is a little bit better and I ordered the one that's supposed to be D2 and it's like $30 but they're made in Italy and they have a little bit better of a Kydex sheet that clips on to without a belt like even to your underwear or shorts any kind of material but it's kind of weird that they have one for $130 and then one for like 30 look how small this thing is the one it made in Italy doesn't even have any handle material it's just skeletonized so I almost think this Chinese is a little bit better it's longer it's I don't know we'll see!

So this knife is another clone stolen from Bastinelli & tjis time it is a collab with Re Factor Tactical so they call it both the REFT & the GI sadly I have only seen reviews on the Canku clone & not the original which is another $150 D2 knife. If this knife is D2 & the heat treat is even close the knife should hold a good edge, be hard to sharpen with standard stones, be rather "stainless" compared to a high carbon like 1095, and the tip could be fragile. So if none of those qualities sound like the Canku knives you have played with I would like to know. I may destroy one to do some tests to see what the hardness & steel really is. I like these simple functional designs, but if the steel.is soft stainless it will be rather dissapointing. It sounds like you have dealt with several Canku knives so curious to know what you normal find. Is the factory edge garbage? Can you get a good edge on them.ect?
