A video series presented by the Ralph Lowe Energy Institute at the TCU Neeley School of Business and Roxo Media House, showcasing legends in the world of energy. We honor their legacies and insights.
You can’t tell the story of the oil and gas industry, the Barnett Shale, TCU Athletics or TCU without Larry Brogdon ’72, Brad Cunningham ’89, Hunter Enis ’63 and the late Dick Lowe ’61. They made up the Four Seven Oil Company. They were part of the Barnett Shale revolution and their work with horizontal drilling in urban areas helped change the world, the city and TCU. There is hardly a place on the campus that does not have their fingerprints. They are on the athletic facilities, in the halls of the College of Science & Engineering, on the NIL efforts, at the Neeley School, on the students they have mentored, classes taught, games attended, and Horned Frog teammates from years ago. They are the ultimate Frogs, as well as being pioneers in the oil and gas industry.
